argghh...what is with Chrome browser

and Windows 10?  I upgraded from 8.1.

Can't they play together without fighting?

I'm having issues nearly every night with stammers, totally freezes, videos not playing, chrome browser error that its not responding taking everything to a halt ... and its not that then my wifi is acting out?  I'm not sure what the Universe is trying to tell me ... in any event, I'm not listening cause if something is acting up I will get it resolved, just like I did with this One Drive crap stuff.  It kept popping up EVERY time I started up my laptop...drove me nuts (it wouldn't take much).  That's the most useless program ever in my opinion and you can't delete it.  I was trying to do some research on this Chrome/Windows 10 issue and while I uninstalled and reinstalled, because I was not the only one having issues, however, I am still having problems.  Its annoying to have browser issues when all you want to do is relax at the end of a long day, answer emails, and listen to tunes.

Any ideas out there in blogdom?

Go ahead, I'm listening...

Calling all Geeks..

this stinks...

where are all my Blogger linky friends?

I had a bunch of Blogger links of friends here and they are pretty much gone, disappeared, so are my other link sections at the bottom.

What is going on with Blogger? that's just weird...

anybody else having issues like this?

link in people, so I know who ya are! I miss you guys. I'm trying to find yuns! hit me up!

and while I"m online it appears I am targeted again for this pesky little Rogue virus inhabiting the internet world, that likes to disguise itself as XP Security 2012 Unregistered Version or XP Security 2012 Firewall Alert...who like to run this little 'scan' to intimidate telling you have security threats, when it is itself the actual virus...oh my word, twice in a two week period.

What to do?  Call Microsoft again...did that the 4th of this month.  Same exact virus. I tell yuns this online venture is getting old when it seems everytime I'm on here there's some nasty virus trying to hack in. Anybody else bothered with this? annoyance...

The guy at Microsoft gave me a folder on my desktop with instructions for me, geeky girl, to do next time this occurs...so I"m armed and ready now...bring it on!!!! I will take great satisfaction in killing it myself without having assistance...

Tech Support with Microsoft

Folks,

It appears that my security was breached while I was in my yahoo and linking into Facebook Blogstreamers's Reunited page.  I don't know why or what, and even though Microsoft Security Essentials have been in my computer and fixed this issue, I am gun shy about coming back into Facebook.  If I do, its definitely no games and no download for games.

Question:  Is anyone else having issues with either email or their links associated to Facebook out of their email?  It raises concerns for me about that site.  Now that I think about it, Isabella and I downloaded a Bejewled game.  We clicked a link in Facebook which took us to another page to download (?I want to say pickle something?)...anyway, the next day my homepage was different, and my browser seemed hijacked on search, things were just weird; I thought I had fixed it, nothing came up on scan until this latest.  It could have been related, not sure.

Anyway, holler back if you have experienced browser instability, hanging up, yahoo mail or facebook issues.  I am curious to know.

Bry...

damnit.......

Fix that dang comment section on your blog!!!!!!!!!!

I finally figured out where to comment, and then I see the word verification (barely), but then the box is cut off prematurely...so I cannot submit it...its missing! Probably why you are not receiving comments, do you not know this needs fixed??

FIX IT ALREADY!!!!!

Sarcasm Pictures, Images and Photos

hell yeah...I am needing me some fries!! My cholesterol ain't high enuff! At this level, I am a fatty artery waiting to blow! its the salt I crave, not enough Iodine in my diet I think...

and Bry, for a price I'll fix that comment section for ya! that'll be airfare, hotel stay, limousine service to and from your residence, and umlimited access to the frig and potty, plus puter! yeah...

it's alive!

Hey gang! I'm back...like a nightmare! hahaha!

I borrowed a windows XP pro disk off a girl at work who has XP because I could not find mine (where does this stuff hide?), and finally got everything loaded back on this puter.  I have an external drive, which was updated only occasionally, so I didn't lose everything, just some things, and some things I might not miss!

Good thing is, its like having a newborn...I've got plenty of space to mess up! Worst is having to go through all the Windows updates and getting a security system and things back on here.  After my security its loading all my music back on here, via I-Tunes...

and could there be another hitch? Yeah, just when you think its safe and all your good stuff has been downloaded, no viruses lurking in dark corners, you have absolutely NO sound anywhere.  Gawd!!!!!! Where's the driver? I installed a Dell disk into an HP and obviously the drivers are different...luckily today I called Microsoft back (Thursday morning) and this dude fixed it! ha! so not only do I have sound, I have lots of MB space.  This is a good thing..Just try to wipe this smile off my face!

so, what did I miss?

Are you talking to me?

Today it has been wild on the workfront. Stuck files, late files, the system down for an hour this evening. Its been one thing after another. So here I am plugging along, and all of a sudden this work computer just freezes up stiff as a board; I can't navigate anything...and this appears...

"DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

My first thought was where was Sherlock Holmes?...cracked me up! and of course the Postmortem addage...LOL..something died that's for sure!  Let me shoot this piece of shit Gateway work computer that the company gave me to use at home! Its not worth the powder and lead to blow it up!

Anyway, I figured out it probably wasn't a big whup...but

aren't you curious what it is bloggers?

If you are using Internet Explorer, Outlook or any Application, you can get Dr .Watson Postmortem Debugger error. You can also observe drwtsn32.exe process running in the task manager.Dr.Watson crashes when other applications crashed.

What’s Dr.Watson? Is this a Virus?
Dr.Watson for Windows is a debugger that will be useful to debug and creates log files when a error occurs with in a program. Technical support people will analyze these log files and fix the errors. It is not a virus or a malware program.Dr.Watson creates log files at  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson.

drwtsn32.exe _process_in _task manager

It actually crashes some times frequently and gives the error as given below.
“Dr.Watson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problems and needs to close”

Why Dr.Watson crashes and give error?

Unfortunately, when you are browsing through Internet Explorer or working with any other program if that program crashes, then Dr.Watson program it self crashes and gives that error.

Does I really need this Dr.Watson  program?
No not really in fact Windows Error Reporting service also do the same as Dr.Watson, as you know you can send error reports to Microsoft through Windows Error  Reporting also.

What’s the Fix?
Fix to this problem is disabling Dr.Watson as we have alternative Windows Error Reporting available, we don’t require Dr.Watson .

Disabling Dr.Watson
1.Click Start>Run>type Regedit and click ok.
2.Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version
3.Select AeDebug in the right pane ,double click it and enter value 0.

disable-Dr.watson debugger_regsitry
4.Close registry editor, restart your computer.

You won’t get this error again in future.

If you have problem with access to registry, download the registry file released by Microsoft , run that registry file.

so there you have it, Bloggers, you've been edumicated! (love that word!ha!)

I Am a Persistent Little Shit...

 One thing about it...

if something bugs me, I do my darndest to fix it.  Like this darn blog, for instance.  Its been acting up for about a week now.  First I thought it was because I put that "reply" thing in.  Also I hadn't been receiving my comments email for the last week.  It was starting to really annoy me...LOL...I made a post, and thought perhaps a "link" threw something off, so I deleted any oddball links, placing text after them because sometimes they'll latch on and make all your text linkage, ya know...I thought it was my music player...then I deleted that post, put another up, same thing.  I didn't have a comment box.  grrrrrr!

So, when I got back home from going flea marketing (I found the table I was looking for), I sat down to fix this darn thing once and for all, enough is enough already!  I changed some settings, checking/rechecking, and then I said to hell with it...walked away, came back, and decided the only thing to do was to reupload my template.  If I did that though, I might lose all my widgets and stuff I'd put on my sidewalls, so I was reluctant to do so; however, I did it anyway, and by golly gee...this geeky girl fixed this blog once again.  I even widened it, to make more room for each column, header, footer, and expanded each, to include changing the font size in the header.  Damn I"m good...LOL...

Now that I got this darn thing to work, lets get back to some tunes...let me introduce you to my PinkPod Rock-N-Blues

This has been removed but you'll find the link in The Lounge under Blues.

surely this thing will play and there'll be no interruption in our regularly scheduled blogging program to include comments and the like...

How to Do Links...

Hey bloggers...

Some of you might know this, others might not.  I am going to try to show you how to post a link.

When posting a link to another site, make sure you are using your Compose tab (not the Edit HTML tab), and then click on the Link in your editor..

You get this box that comes up...

The 'text to display' should be the word/or words "click here" or "here" or whatever word you want to use to perhaps even describe the link.

Text to display:
To what URL should this link go?  **This is where you actually paste the http in from your browser.

The Gadget Goddess...

Who is tired of the jacked-up prices of gadgets at your local stores when you can find it cheaper online?

not to mention, one gadget usually leads to another, sometimes out of necessity.  Necessity is the mother of invention, so they say, and what a technologically advanced (aka dependent) culture we have become, huh?  I haven't bought into many of the gadgets, even some most take for granted, like a dishwasher.  I still employ the old-fashioned, get you a rag, run some soap & water technique, not that I wouldn't love to have a real mechanical dishwasher, or one in mannish clothing! Come to think of it, my ex was the dishwasher.

Oh, I don't have a cellphone either, not that I wouldn't like one per se, but why pay two bills, one to have a house phone and a cell. Personally I don't like being bothered with a ringing phone;  I don't want people to have access to me 24/7; I need unplugged time, and besides I pay for teens' cell which is costing me a damn fortune as it is.  She is running over her minutes EVERY frickin' month.  Oh, and now she is driving so I've had to add her onto my auto insurance.

okay, okay, stop bitchin' here, back on track....oh yeah ...yeah...speaking of gadgets...

...makes me think of that show on TV, MacGyver, remember that show?  He was always fancying some gadget just in the knick of time to save somebody from harm, stop a bomb from blowing up, saving a city from destruction..etc...I wished I had that ingenuity...

Flip DVI KVM Switch

but that's not why I was writing this post.  I was going to tell yuns about this new gadget I bought, which out of necessity led to another trip back to the store for another gadget to make that gadget work, and then the damn thing still don't work right.

Why?  Well, to make a long story short (hahaha you wished I'd shut up dontcha?, eh?) I bought this gadget which allows me to switch between my work computer and home PC just by pressing this little button; so I can share my mouse, my keyboard, and my monitor; however, what they didn't tell me was that this gadget would NOT allow me to share the Ethernet love to both computers ...

So, Yours Truly, the gadget goddess will have to yet again buy another gadget...(aka a router).

Yep, I couldn't for the life me figure out why, when I switched from one computer to the other, my internet was not working on the other.

Duh!!!!!! Big Red Truck!!!!! Go ahead laugh...but remember...next time you need a gadget don't buy it at the local ShopNRob, but rather take a few days and shop around, get it online, you'll save bucks and some gas running back and forths~!

And just who in the heck is the Gadget Goddess?

I hate computer issues. When my computer is screwed up, my world ends till the darn thing is fixed, it if takes me hours, so be it, in this case its been nearly two full days. This computer is also my work computer, and when it doesn't run right that is a big problem. I realize when my computer starts slowing down, hijacking my searches, trying to open a browser or webpages is taking too long, and at times is freezes up, and even pressing CTRL Alt delete doesn't work, there's a big fat problem somewhere.

First off, the suspects include a teen and an 8-year-old who likes to go to Nick Jr and play games. The teen likes to loaf on Facebook and listen to music. I found Limewire installed on here one day and about freaked!!!!

What started the madness was not only some suspicious behavior but when I try to open my IE browser and I got an iexplore.exe - Application error that says "The instruction at "0x7c911689 or some bullshit number" referenced memory at 0x0000000"...The memory could not be read...there's a major problem here.

Obviously there could be some malware/spyware or some application process screwed up. About a month ago, the 8-year-old clicked in a music site, unbeknownst to us that started a chain of events wherein my computer was infected by a company (aka virus attacker) who wanted to sell us a product to clean it up.  That was a big fat mess, complete with sex ad pop-ups and everything designed to scare you into buying their product to fix what they messed up.  I thought I had fixed that, but perhaps I had not totally gotten that resolved and now it was affecting my registry? Gawwwwd. Its ass kicking time.  Momma's pissed off! game ON!

What happened and who did it? I may never know, but everybody is innocent till proven guilty, eh? Doesn't matter, it still leaves you with one big headache to try to figure it all out. If you've never had this error, consider yourself lucky. I'm told this application error could have been caused by another program incompatibility, malware/spyware, or perhaps a virus or worm infection.

First thing I do is delete Internet Explorer browser, only to try to reinstall it, which still doesn't work.  I then tried to delete the Yahoo toolbar (the devils' spawn) but every time I tried it froze up totally.  Yes, its been two days of running every scan known to the malware world, doing searches to see perhaps which processes (under msconfig) are looking like viruses; searches that got hijacked, the freezing up, having to manually turn off the computer, which ensued my cursing and bitching! I could access my Mozilla browser but not IE.

Today I contacted my local server for perhaps a sanity check, LOL, who refers me to Microsoft, and gives me a phone number; whereupon I finally after two days of insanity call them, and its a few more hours (yes hours) of insanity whereby I lose my Symantec (Microsoft tech uninstalled it because they thought it was causing the problem) meanwhile the battery on my home phone is beeping, and the tech tells me I can call Norton to put it back on which didn't happen by the way, but I'm armed with Microsoft Security Essentials which is free and works just as well I'm told.

Even after all that, the tech nor I couldn't open the browser. Talk about crazy then, at one point I couldn't even open Mozilla browser. I was ready to stab the tech support chicka, whom I couldn't understand very well due to her language accent. She told me I would need to find my XP disk which I couldn't find, I thought to myself she is really gonna screw this puter up, in and out of Safe Mode, removing this, downloading that, all I wanted was resolution. She finally said she had it fixed but wanted me to insert a disk, what disk? and why?

Finally there was silence. The phone went dead. Great, that's all I frickin need.  In a little while the first guy I talk to calls me from Microsoft, wants to know if the issue got resolved, I give him a resounding, Yes! This was after I downloaded IE 8, and finally it worked right. I was never so relieved in my life! I threatened the suspects with never using the computer again!!!! Even the head honcho supervisor at Microsoft wanted to talk to me, I guess checking up on the issue to see if I got resolution. I told him it was thanks to his persistent staff. He said if I ever needed anything to call them!

I'm still without Symantec, not sure I am going to miss it. Life is good, my computer is working properly again.

and now for a nerdy blogging tip...

for those of you who perhaps never knew?!

I being a Nerdy Girl, certainly have learned to manipulate about anything! and that includes whatshisname? Oh nevermind that~

Have you ever clicked on a page, or wanted to post something yourself, only to discover that the picture or the YouTube video, or whatever was hanging out in the sidebar, or was just too big for your taste?

I take immediate attention and feel compelled to fix, it's an obsession, like smelling bacon frying, I gotta eat it!

If you can copy a code to your blog, then you can resize it. All you have to do is experiment with it, and look back in the code and change the width and height to any size you want!

I know ain't that amazing!

When it comes to pictures, use photobucket, and the edit option, then type in the size you want, or pick from one of the options, or crop it yourself, and poof! No more margin sticker-outers for you!

Don't let your blog get caught with a margin violation!

Over and out!

Quirks...Bugs....eeeek!

okay, so this template leaves a few things to be desired.

First off the margins need adjusting; images have no padding around them as you can see...

the spacing is off both between the end of a blogged post before the comment line, and between typed lines so I've had to manually put spaces in.

I'd like some borders, let's see, I even tried putting a code in for padding,

let's see if it works.

if not, screw it, I'm tired...

Yep, see there? It didn't work. sucks....

and tomorrow I get to play some more with it, or better yet, I think I will aggravate the guy who put this template out for us to enjoy, however, it does need work.

SQUAAAAK!

and Brian, should you happen to appear in here, why does the first line on type at the right of the picture indent when viewing in IE? argggh!

okay, so now it's Saturday afternoon and when I came in to view this post (in Mozilla) this one looks fine with the image borders and adequate width around, however, "Something Stinks" post on the Older Posts page DOES NOT! (along with others), what gives? rawrrrr!

UPDATE: Yours Truly, AKA nerdy girl has figured out how to insert picture and get a margin around it! Isn't it lovely?!

Building a Website?!

hey sexy,

I was playing around with html and YOU! and I certainly don't know anything about putting gifs in and getting them to work! so I am sending it back to you!  I need to learn about margins and columns and such...this html thingy is slow, or is it just me? LOL

A Tale of Two Programmers

Once upon a time, in a faraway city lived a kindly old programmer called Tyme. Tyme had plenty of time on his hands, but his favorite playtime, outside of his playmate who lived in a faraway Appalachian land, was programming! Oh the countless hours he played working on perfecting his craft! He was indeed a master!

Speaking of master, he began to teach his craft to his playmate, who was only interested in playing with him! Needless to say, she was not doing her homework as he instructed. He was trying to teach her how to build a website from scratch. He would have to contemplate her fate.

Sometimes, while trying to work on her html, her imagination would run amuck and she imagined her being his teacher! She wished he were closer by so she could play out her fantasies, and he could come html (home to make love?!) You mean that isn't what html stands for?

Yes, it seems she does have quite a ways to go!

By the way, darling, if I wanted to change this google link to a new color, how might I add that in here? Somehow this blue just doesn't get it for me! Actually I was thinking that a link to a naughty story might be much more fun, what do you think?

click for google (actually this worked on the website!)

Today, I see by this particular html exercise that between the spacing betweeen paragraphs are double spaced, but if I wanted each line double spaced from the next, what code will I have to use to accomplish that? I wonder...If one double spaces the actual lines, then would it be appropriate to triple space between paragraphs?

While the programmer-to-be was busy contemplating which code would make these lines double spaced, her mind slips inbetween these typed words to a faraway memory of her and Programmer. He has this uncanny ability to bring out the passions in her, few if any men, have ever done. Both of them were enjoying being lost somewhere in West Virginia, perched high on a mountaintop for a night, in a room at a state park. The name of the place itself escapes her, but what she remembers is the way he made her feel; the way he always make her feel. Some things are too beautiful and words fail to describe them adequately.

He knows that feeling too, that hunger, that insatiable desire of affection and having that need fulfilled. She needs to kiss him now, right now, just the way his lips fell to hers that night. She needs him to fondle and kiss her, right now, just the way he did that night. She needs to feel his body over top of hers, his body melding into hers, right now, just the way he did that night. She needs that orgasmic release, right now, just the way it happened magically that night. Being lost in the mind's sensation of those events is sustaining those months of absence Programmer is separated from his programmer-to-be. She wonders if perhaps he lies in bed at night, as she does, missing the magic of their lovemaking.

As she tries to get focus to the business at hand, it appears that the context of this particular lesson has ended, and the code she needs is not a part of this particular html lesson. The programmer-to-be might need some one-on-one instruction from Programmer. What do you say, darling? Are you up to providing a little after hour instruction?

Also in an attempt to place this animated kiss gif in the page, it lacks motion! I suppose that is another whole lesson?! and where is the title? A Tale of Two Progammers? I am viewing this with Mozilla, perhaps I should look in IE? It is hard to program when all I have is an old version of Windows! What version do I have?

Geeky Girl ...

I love to mess with my blog's html and mess with codes and such! Did you ever screw your blog up only to get some X-86948 error or something?  I totally did that the first time I uploaded a new template. That took some learning to do right there

When it comes to html codes and Xhtml now, some things you just have to screw up more than once to get 'em right, sometimes at the expense of your blog getting sucked into the underground blogosphere.  Where do all those blogs end up? In blog purgatory? The Blog Zone?

Anyway bloggers, did you know ...

that if you have a blog at Blogger (or blogs), whenever you upload an image to post to your blogsite it automatically appears in a Picasa Web Album for public viewing? I found this out merely by accident myself.

but don't take my word for it, go check it out for yourself by typing in "Picasa Web Album" and either your nickname or name you signed up for a blogger acct. with, or better yet, go to your blogger acct page, the one with the email, and all the other stuff on it listed on it, and scroll down to Picasa Web Album and click; it should take you to your album or picture collection; it doesn't matter that perhaps your blog is made private or not, your pictures will still be out there publicly.  For those of you with unsavory photos that you thought perhaps were private on your own "private blog" well, I got news for ya, if you haven't made your album private they are out there in cyberspace, folks~! oh, and one more thing, if you delete the photos from your public album on Picasa, they will also be removed from your blog, so choose carefully on that option.

I don't know about you, and it's not like I have anything to hide, but my pictures are mine, especially my private family photos, and if I don't want them out for public view to any browser who happens by them, I can choose to make them private, which is what I did.  If you'd like to make your settings private, then go to you Google Acct. Page, scroll down to Picasa Web Albums, go to settings and fix it~!

Did You Guys Know?

Blogger now has a new dashboard where you can put the comments underneath your blog posts instead of taking you to a different window and provides backlinks too, and other options! Check it out! and the new and improved link thing which desperately needed revamping.  It's great!

All you have to do is type in "Blogger in draft" and read about it! I'm sure you guys will love it! I do, but then again, this came a little late to my knowledge after I downloaded in my own comment section before this came out! LOL

Sherry, thanks for the Boney videos, they were relaxing, and for the chat, and to all of you Blogstreamers who came out or stopped bye! Scratch? Where were you? I found no lizards in the lounge! LOL

Dalpha, love ya, and you too, Tab!

I hope you guys have a great day! I've got housecleaning to get done.

I'll check back in later.

If you guy haven't watched the latest New Yorker RingTales on MSN.  Here's the link!

Afternoon Already?

How time flies when you're alone and uninterrupted! I love it!

I went to bed way too early last night. I put up a music post on another blog site only to find out there was a "dram-o-rama" over there as usual! I swear I believe some people will do anything for a little blog reader attention! While I spend the majority of time with work and lately taking care of my grandkids, blogging is not a big priority. I have a couple of shared blogs here on blogger, and even though it is a little more challenging to navigate and to have a sense of "community" I love having my anonymity and being able to pick and choose people I want to be a part of my blogging experience!

I guess wherever there are so-called community group blogging sites, like Blogstream, there are bound to be issues from time to time. It is like having real neighbors, some you get along with, most you just do not know, but if you want to network with your neighbors, or other bloggers of mutual interest whether it be humor, or music, story-telling, or what, and you have to go borrow a cup of sugar if you will! There are some really creative and talented writers at Blogstream, and the good definitely outweighs the bad! so I'll blog in both at whichever time suits my needs at the moment since I do have shared blogs over here.

I do not think I am going to spend time with the blog-front issues today, as far as trying to fix that search bar. I have already had to figure out after clicking the "embed comments below post" that there was no comment link to click on to make comments! LOL so that was one mystery solved and fixed! This template was a downloaded template, not the usual blogger one to choose from, which retained some of those elements even when I switched back to the regular templates they offered! This created quite a bit of headache for me yesterday! In any event, people can leave comments if they choose now, just Say It~! This new comment section underneath the blog posts are a must! Love it! Try it, you will too.

Okay, housecleaning here I come! One of these days when my ship comes in, I am going to hire a maid! and a butler!

Gee, this trying to manipulate blog codes

is getting on my last nerve! pee on it! damnit!

I had an error on this blog, had new2 widgets I could not get rid of, and the comment thing would not load up! what a pain in the ass! I had to upload this template multiple times after trying to fix the problem, only to get "this is not well parsed bull." Most of the day, I had my two hooty-wild grandkids making major messes, but my daughter and son-in-law finally showed up to claim their kids about 1 p.m. today, after 2 weeks?! yeah, my thoughts eggsactly!

I've been feeling pissed on myself, as you can imagine, and having additional stressors, but now I am free at last, at least for the moment, so I could try to get these bugs worked out. I like working on this stuff, but it would make it easier to not have to guess and work by trial and error.

and what are you up to?

Well, I fixed one thing only to find out that my search bar thingy over there is screwed up when it comes to "search my site", I am sure it is so stupid simple but I am making it harder.
