free falling...

I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you're going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.” - C. Joy Bell C -

I ran across this quote when I was out surfing and it got me to thinking, could I ever accept that feeling of not knowing where I was going and condition myself to living that way...in all honesty, the last time my life felt out of control was in 1998 when I went through a bitter divorce.  I picked myself up, and have been working at the same place of employment since that time.  I've been in control of my life, so I'm not sure how I would cope with not being in control and just drifting into uncertainty.  Choices lead us to a place of contentment, which is where I am now and have been for years now.  I think we all get to used to the life we have created for ourselves and any change undoubtedly could be scary, especially when talking about finances.

At this time of the year, I am struggling to find the joy, or enjoy this vacation time, as company cuts are coming once again, and I find myself inevitably dreading the start of the New Year that could possibly find me unemployed.  The week before Thanksgiving we were told to take any vacation time as we could not carry over 40 hours anymore but only 16 hours.   I've seen people I thought more necessary to the company than myself get whacked with a phone call on payday.  I am nobody special and I don't have a big fancy degree or title or power.  I've cried over cuts for those I've lost as coworkers.  I have managed to keep a job despite numerous cuts ... but the dread is always there ... and the dread messes with your psyche, like being in limbo, its like a slow death that you know its coming... its just the uncertainty of when.

The #1 focus is to move all work offshore and they are almost there.  My people are running low if not out of work esp in lieu of the fact that the last of our accounts will be transitioned offshore this month.  I believe myself to be a strong individual and a survivor, so why would I need to fear this dread?

my only answer is my fear of falling...into the unknown.

For now...I'll try not think about it.  I'll listen to Einaudi instead.  There are no words to describe the feelings of his music...its pure bliss ... I'll just close my eyes and let it take me away to perhaps that place of contentment...a most beautiful place with no worries.

seasons of Christmas

“Soon the child’s clear eye is clouded over by ideas and opinions, preconceptions, and abstractions. Simple free being becomes encrusted with the burdensome armor of the ego. Not until years later does an instinct come that a vital sense of mystery has been withdrawn. The sun glints through the pines and the heart is pierced in a moment of beauty and strange pain, like a memory of paradise. After that day, we become seekers.”

I grew up in a poor family, one of six siblings. We never got fancy toys, electronics, or designer clothing, but we were rich in the love that absorbed through every fiber of that Christmas day.
Forever embedded in my memory is that of Dad's face as he opened up those socks or other articles that we wrapped with such anticipation ... and the thank you of tears that feel from his eyes because his children would go to such lengths to give him gifts that money couldn't buy.  I have to say Mom was not as joyous, as she didn't partake in the bubbly as Dad did, but she had a lot to contend with and always made sure our Christmas was the best she could possibly do.

It wasn’t until I grew up, became an adult,
that Christmas seemed to lose all its magic, wonder and glory.
For it was as an adult that I began to feel sadness at this time of year.
The sadness stems from so commercialization and very little to do with the true meaning of Christmas ... perhaps sadness that so many never experience the simple joy of rewrapped love.

Make yours memorable.

Xmas Past

Oh my! Clothes pin dolls. Beautiful

I remember my sister who always had a knack for painting and making crafts.  One year, she made Christmas ornaments with clothespins, and this was circa 1970.  They were absolutely gorgeous.  She made women with umbrellas and dresses that she used tissue to expand so they would look like they had a petticoat, using rick-rack and making hats and umbrellas.  They were definitely unique and I loved them. She also made nutcrackers in uniforms, I wished I still had some of those ornaments.  These ornaments shown below are cute, but not as original or as good as my sisters! She would make the puffy sleeves...I am going to have to do my homework...:)

I went looking online for hints this year to try to recreate that memory past, and make my own with my granddaughter, and I came across several ideas.  I want to make these angels.  I have tons of sheet music, none of which I really want to cut up, but I'm sure I can find some at my local flea market.  I'm off to go look! then its off to the craft department for all the little things I need, like eyes to put on top of their head to string through, string, and other stuff I might need to include some glue and a little bottle to put the glue in cause this could get a little tedious, but worth it!  If you haven't done this, maybe you'll give it a try, or have your kids make them.  You will need to buy the clothespins that stand and do not pinch.  You could make a wreath out of the ones that pinch by using a coathanger and putting them around it and tying on a bow.  That's a simple project.  In any event, happy Xmas decorating! :)

Golden Angels Handmade Clothespin Doll

Too Tired to Rant...even

I am so tired. Getting no sleep is not fun. I'm just going to go pass out until next year, haha.

Cold weather.  Rain.  Fatigue.  Yeah.  I'm so tired of working.  Today I was supposed to be off half a day, but I had to retract my request to burn some vacation time due to the fact that I had way too much to take care of at work, and we were just swamped.  This company is getting ready to lay off people again, because the work is being shipped offshore (you know they can pay 3 people what they have to pay one US employee), so we will be doing 3x what we should ordinarily have to.  As it is already, its hard to find coverage for when people need a day off, or have hours to burn so they don't lose..even for yourself! Not to mention HR told us that we can no longer carry over 40 hours of vacation, but with only a month to burn 93 hours, did they expect I would really fit all my time in and not lose any hours? Well...I guess not, because I couldn't even take off half a day today...

My boss, who I no longer have to cover for, because somebody in upper management felt someone else should cover for her, (funny I still have to do things that her cover should be doing and my bosses boss ask me to do...), seems to still think she needs to call me and hold me on the phone while putting me behind on things I have to do.  I inform her that my title was debunked from QA Team Lead to just QA, whatever the hell that means, and now I am forced to keep a QA log of every thing I do all day, and am expected to meet some form of production (line count) when clearly that is not my job.  I am expected to watch the system, clear out jobs from a customer service account, talk and console my used to be boss, email, make tickets, work with other customer service Reps, make pools, adjust poolscripts, drown in CS files...and still keep a production line count? I think not...I am some form of QA management but technically I'm not management, but in reality it still feels like I am and obviously my boss didn't get that memo, so I am in a state of confusion, now does that make any sense? It doesn't to me either.

My boss is off this next week, but I am expected to train somebody to cover my vacation while I'm off the week after (the week of the 15th through the 19th) and then 3 more days, got Xmas off, and Friday the 26th a floating holiday, so technically even though its only 64 hours off instead of 80 it looks like its two weeks total.  i can't wait to get the helloutofDodge!  If they can do without me that long, then chances are they'll fire me, eh? its not like HR gave us three months to work off vacation hours that we thought we could carry over into the New Year.  Ordinarily, I would ever ask for that many days off in a row, but that is how it is worked out.  My boss has been too busy with everybody else's schedules and making sure time off requests were met, while I've had my requests in and if she thought my taking off 8 days in a row was a problem she could have said something, all she said was you better make sure everything you do all day long is covered by someone else.  Well, if I had that kind of coverage I could have taken half a day off couldn't I? yeah...right... it just blows!  Technically I am supposed to cover for someone when they're off and they have to cover for me, but how does that work when we work 2 different shifts pretty much, and I work Monday-Friday, she works Tuesday-Saturday...isn't that a crock of BS! When the cuts come, my head will probably be on the chopping block but for now...

I am just too tired to care...maybe tomorrow.

my Dear John letter...

I once knew an angel named John...
(1 Thessalonians 5:18) Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Strange where you find them, angels I mean.  Actually its been 1 decade, 7 years, unknown day but certainly an extraordinary day that I first laid eyes on him sitting on a bar stool at our neighborhood watering hole.  I was very uncomfortable being in a bar after 17 years of marriage and going through a bitter divorce.  Friends feel the need to drag you out for God knows what I had no idea. I know I felt like a fish out of water.

He had golden hair, blue eyes, tanned skin and legs, white shorts, some Hawaiian looking shirt reminded me of Jimmy Buffett drinking marguerita's...only it wasn't Margueriteville...and certainly we were not in paradise.  Well, maybe with a few more drinks I could pretend but at this point in my life, a 'guy' was the last thing on my list.  His choice of drink, if I recall, was a bloody Mary.  He undoubtedly picked up on my awkwardness by starting up a conversation with me while my gorgeous friend with lots of admirers was flitting around like a movie star, table to table.

Meeting him changed the whole course of my life events.  He was the sweetest gift I ever received, my knight in shining armor in my hour of need.    We were pretty much inseparable from the moment we met, but it wasn't because of a 'love' attraction it was more than that.  Our souls kissed and neither of us would ever be the same.   He needed me about as much as I needed him, or a hole in the head, ha!  I'd like to think I brought out the best in him at the onset, giving him a reason to live free of alcohol and pull his own life back together, and he carried me emotionally and physically through that most difficult and trying time in my life as the stress and strain took its toll.  We just fell into the folds of one another's lives, it was a beautiful thing.  I don't know what I would have done without him.  I knew nothing of love truly until J, especially unconditional love ... its rare one ever finds it; if they do andloseit, theyalwayslong to have it again ... but its all too elusive.

Looking back, he was my greatest happiness, my sweetest sorrow.  For 9 years he was the glue that held this family together, the comforter, the voice of reason, the father my daughters never had, and that deep deep voice of his still resonates in my memory.  I remember when he would call the office, the girls would always comment about his deep voice.  Oftentimes I've longed to hear his voice off the old answering machine just one more time, but my heart couldn't bear the pain. I remember us discussing our mortality about who should die first leaving the other one, and I always told him that I would need to perish first because otherwise I would just cease to thrive anyway, and that the girls would need a strong loving father and grandfather to guide them. Even when I teased I'd throw him to the curb if he failed to get out the garbage or some other infraction jokingly, he always teased me and said I'd miss him if he was gone, I just never knew howmuch.Iknowheiswatching over us still, I feel him.  I know he knows of the recent chain of events and as I write this one of our own is on the brink of suicide, its just been a mess; its heartwrenching what life for some has become since his departure, 8 years, 3 months, and 3 days ago. Please watch over her, John.  Our world shattered when God called his angel back home, his earthly demise from lung cancer taking him away at only 51 years of age, and while I've managed to piece my life together others have not so much.

This Thanksgiving, it felt a little raw for me emotionally sitting here, thinking back on those family holiday dinners.  He always recited a prayer of thanks, throwing in his own ad lib of 'thankfuls' as we all did, laughing and joking.  Today I know he would be proud that his granddaughter Isabella gave the dinner prayer at the table, just the two of us, sad there was missing loved ones.  At 12 now, she's growing up, only 4 when he passed.  She told us that Papaw John came to see her in the park that day to tell her that he had to go away, for her to be good, and he disappeared she said.  A worker found her sitting alone crying and consoled her.  The worker told me the story when I picked her up from daycare that day.  John had been on his deathbed for days.  Amazing the spirit and the bonds of love forever there.

Dear John, thank you for taking us under your wings for the years we got to spend with you, and for loving us unselfishly and with reverence always.  An angel's job is never done, you know, as you will have to continue to keep a vigil on this mess of a family you left behind.  Hopefully those lost loved ones will return to the Thanksgiving table given time and healing through love.  We miss you much.
With love.

Snow Day Fun...

Here's a couple of gr8 ideas if you got kids or even if ya don't...

Try making colored snow balls to line your driveway!

ice-balloons

It seems pretty easy – just get some balloons, put a couple drops of food coloring in the balloon. I guess glitter could be optional.  Slowly fill the balloon with water, tie it closed.  Put the balloons outside in the snow until they are frozen solid.  Then take off the balloon with a scissors and there you go – beautiful, colorful balls of ice.  Not sure what you do with them, but they sure are pretty to look at!

or try an upside-down snowman...Isabella will love this as a tumbler..

http://princesspinkygirl.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/upside-down-snowman.jpg

or maybe make a "Cars face" on YOUR car this winter...how cute is that? LOL...

how great would it be to come out to a car like this!! What an awesome surprise for someone - for sure trying this!
ah yes, tis the season! :) enjoy the snow.

whats new in my neck of the woods?

Cutting, bulimia, anorexia, burning, ect.... most of it starts with hating yourself. I always have hated myself and the affects are many scars.

well, it appears that granddaughter overstepped her bounds and is currently not living with me for a while. She has unleashed her anger at me long enough and when I got a black eye that was the last straw. I went to the juvenile system, and she is currently in Foster Care and starting services to get this behavior under control. I've had her in counseling pretty much the whole 4 years she has lived with me, but obviously she has to learn the hard way. At only 12, she has to know there are severe consequences for this type of behavior. I've warned and threatened her with calling the cops and in fact had to do so, in order for her to realize how serious this was becoming. I've had people talk to her, try to reach her, but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears. Tomorrow is my first visitation since she was taken out of the home. I saw her in court, and I think she thought all I had to do was tell the Judge she could come home, but truth is she needs to learn a lesson and however long it takes for that happen, I'm okay with it. It was a very hard decision for me to have to do, but I do feel that I did the right thing.

Stolen Wallet

If there's one thing I can't stand its a thief. Sunday I guess I inadvertently left my wallet in a shopping cart after lifting two 24 packs of water into the trunk of my car at around 5 PM. I thought I had put the wallet in my car console between the seats, however at 8:30 PM I discovered it was totally missing. Did I really leave it in that shopping cart? or did I leave my car unlocked long enough to go into the store and retrieve those two 24 packs of water that I paid for at around 4:45 but didn't have when I got home, so I made that 2nd trip back around. In any event, it feels like you've been totally stripped of your life, your credit cards, bank cards, license, insurance cards, (even my Social Security card was in there) along with a few checks are in the hands of a thief.

First thing I did was open up my main online bank account.  He used my main and most important bank card at 6:30/7 renting himself a movie, and a snack costing around 6 bucks on my Mastercard.  I discovered online that I could 'lock' my MC debit card and I did so, which ended up being a godsend.  However the kid decided to use my Visa from another banking source once I blocked him from using my main Mastercard because at 10:05 PM there was a charge on my Visa of 25 bucks at Kroger's again.  This kid obviously carried my cards around in his pocket for 3 to 4 hours, which makes me feel as though he was working and got off at 10.  Luckily he did not use my cards very much like some people would have done with 2 bank cards, a JC Penney credit card, and checks, but a thief is a thief.  After using my Visa at Krogers, he drove out to the county so to speak, went into Walmart and proceeded to buy items totally 55 bucks, went to SuperQuik gas station and filled up his car with 20 bucks of gas, then drove to a neighboring town buying food.  I guess he wanted to go home and watch his movie, take a shower and use his deodorant and whatever other items he bought.  The Walmart security team said it was a kid once they pulled up the surveillance, who bought items to include deodorant...he'll need that in jail won't he? haha.  You can follow his every move from the first time he uses my bank cards to the last, but he'll pay for it. Frankly, I'd love to have my leather wallet back, and my other cards to include my license and Social Security card, that's scary, so maybe the cop can get him to squeal on where the location of my actual billfold is and where the other contents are.  I hope so.  I am hoping for a good outcome, and the thief serving time for the crime.

Yep, its been two days of gathering information about where this kid went, what he charged, etc., dealing with the bank, getting statements, closing one account and making a new account, calling the places he visited for video surveillance to be made available, transferring funds, oh and making a police report along with the tasks of trying to gather and replace my items. :( UGH, like I said I can't stand a thief.

welcoming a new soul...

into our lives ... a sweet baby girl on Tuesday!  Tomorrow is 40 weeks gestation and Tuesday is scheduled induction if the baby doesn't come before then.  I can't wait to meet her. I got her crib bed all fixed up and ready to go!

Her mother was my little angel so many years ago...a miracle she even came into this world due to the fact that my cervix could have ruptured at any time, paper thin and see-through said my doctor who was amazed she was carried to term.  We didn't know this, nor did the doctor, until he went into do the cesarean section.  I definitely know that my guardian angel watches out for me, always has, and that even though some things happen without rhyme or reason, it was meant to be.  I truly believe that our loved ones are still with us and watching and guiding us from the other side in spirit after their physical bodies are no more.

I remember a few months back when daughter was worrying about whether she could mother and where her life was headed, she was visibly upset and told me that her grandmother came to visit her, in her dream, she said it was all too real, that her grandmother told her that everything would be all right, and that she would have a beautiful little girl.  This was long before we could find out the sex of this baby, but rest assured that this little soul is being held by her family in spirit, and before long she will be revealed to all of us here in the physical world.  Bobbi lost her grandmother whom she was very close to, at a young tender age of 8 years old.  I tell Bobbi that her grandmother is still with her, will always watch over and protect her, just like she will be watching over this little soul.

I do expect to be with my daughter for the blessed event, and while you may not hear from me for a little while, I'll be busy reassuring a first-time mom that she is doing a gr8 job and cuddling a sweet little baby girl.

“Let these be your desires: To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own understanding of love; And to bleed willingly and joyfully. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving; To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy; To return home at eventide with gratitude; And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips

Let these be your love desires ~

To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;

and to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;

and then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart
and a song of praise upon your lips...

wishing you an enjoyable weekend.  :)

emerge from the darkness

This fascinated me. Particularly the white dove at the top. it... got the brain gears turning. I want to come back to it some time. maybe write something about it
and away from the black depths of my mundane maddening life ...

lately I've been in some dark place with a lot of issues still surrounding the granddaughter who obviously is damaged more than any of us realized, herself included.  Even though she had testing, they are not wanting to label her, but feel that early on she has suffered neglect which internally has come out in behavioral issues this last two years as she is exploring new boundaries.  She has a lot of anxiety around social issues and abandonment which is going to affect her relationships.  I am on the receiving end of her physical aggression and its taken its toll on my psyche and my body.  There is no joy in being her grandmother any more.  I am the jailer, the intimidator, the object of her backlash.  I think she exhibits PTSD symptoms.  Does one call the authorities and add more insult to a damaged child  already?  maybe I just need to hire a bodyguard and keep my distance.  Knock her out with tranquilizers, or lock her up in a padded room?  How long before these behaviors go outside the boundaries of home...its as if she lives a double life, and more than anything she worries people will find out about the little monster she tries to keep closeted.

After a discussion with a professional (she's been in counseling for a year with no significant results), they recommend more counseling and perhaps a trial with medications.  Stand firm they said with what I do as far as setting boundaries, easy for them to say they don't have to deal with her outbursts.  I am disheartened, frankly I did not sign up for this crapshit.  The first two years weren't so bad, worst in the last two.  My heart tells me not to give up on her, but my head says "run, run Forest run..."  am I so bad for thinking this way?

Social Media Back When...

  photo Browning_Golden_Eagle_Mark_IV_1_zps895a5589.jpg

I remember the bygone days of social networking, the CB radio.  The most sought after model was the Golden Eagle, and my Dad drooled over this and finally got one.  The antenna I remember thinking stretched to heaven...LOL...but of course it didn't.  Everything is bigger when you're a kid.  He became 'hooked' on his CB radio, talking for hours, making friends, and everybody had a 'handle' in those days, like people in chatrooms on Yahoo, remember?  Its the same thing really only in a different form.  When Dad left his CB room, we'd sneak in and boy it was a fancy gadget! knobs everywhere, you could talk to people privately and of course there was emergency channels, and of you could tune in people from overseas! We would "break-break" the line by pushing that lever down on the microphone, it was a rush, especially when somebody answered you back! :)

My dad became an avid and addicted CB'er with the handle of "Cabbage Head," and my mom, "Brussel Sprouts."  Its interesting to glimpse back and marvel at how social media has evolved, and sometimes not for the better I'm afraid. Everywhere now its cellphones, tablets, its ridiculous!  Just the other day when breaking from jury duty out in a big hallway, I bet you 50 people were standing there gawking at their cell phones ignoring those around them, not engaging in conversation, rather staring blankly into this gadget.  It felt rather lonely to be without technology!

As far as actually meeting people, the CB was also a good tool for that. Dad made many friends and acquaintances over the years, and we made many a Sunday drive to visit his CB buddies.  Mom had fun on it too! Dad did allow us to play on it but not very much; it was his grownup toy!  Those were some of the best memories of a childhood past, of my Dad with his Browning Eagle.

Have a gr8 night everybody.  Happy Fourth!

In & Out Of Time...

The sun has come.
The mist has gone.
We see in the distance...
our long way home.
I was always yours to have.
You were always mine.
We have loved each other in and out of time.

When the first stone looked up at the blazing sun
and the first tree struggled up from the forest floor
I had always loved you more.
You freed your braids...
gave your hair to the breeze.
It hummed like a hive of honey bees.
I reached in the mass for the sweet honey comb there....
Mmmm...God how I love your hair.

You saw me bludgeoned by circumstance.
Lost, injured, hurt by chance.
I screamed to the heavens....loudly screamed....
Trying to change our nightmares into dreams...
The sun has come.
The mist has gone.
We see in the distance our long way home.

I was always yours to have.
You were always mine.
We have loved each other in and out
in and out
in and out
of time.

Daisies...

I've always loved daisies; as a kid I would find them in fields
growing wild, like us, and I would rush to gather them!

Have a wonderful week my blog friends! :)

Lost My Blojo...

and don't know where the hell it went...

hello...is there anybody out there?

Spring Had Finally Arrived in Ole Kentuck...

or so we thought, but yesterday it blew snow around, stayed cold, and today it was cold! its just now warming back up.  When I took Isabella to school yesterday there were tee-tiny round hailballs that looked like ice cream topping, and a short time later, big flakes of snow were coming down!  We sure have had some crazy weather!

lately, as you can probably tell, I've not been around too much, got my hands full with work, life, Isabella and playing on a couple of sites called Boomer and Blogster.  If you come to either of those sites, hit me up for a friend request.  What's been going in your neck of the woods?!

Sissy & Artie

I spy you having fun
Just a-lying in the sun
It's obvious you like it this way
It's the work that they avoid
And they're both self-employed
..and love to work at nothing all day...

while 'Mom-ma' is taking care of business! :)

livin' the life of Riley... Sissy just supervises Artie, she just watches him bark, bark and bark more...:) I don't think she is all that impressed but he entertains her. PS you can click to enlarge. :)

Can I Play Hookey?

“I cannot go to school today"
Said little Peggy Ann McKay.
"I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash and purple bumps.

My mouth is wet, my throat is dry.
I'm going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I've counted sixteen chicken pox.

And there's one more - that's seventeen,
And don't you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut, my eyes are blue,
It might be the instamatic flu.

I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I'm sure that my left leg is broke.
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in.

My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,
My 'pendix pains each time it rains.
My toes are cold, my toes are numb,

I have a sliver in my thumb.

My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,

I think my hair is falling out.

My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,

There's a hole inside my ear.

I have a hangnail, and my heart is ...
What? What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is .............. Saturday?

G'bye, I'm going out to play!”

― Shel Silverstein

Sunday already?

There aren't enough days of weekend!

I like the meditational effect of Tool.

Yesterday was of no significance obviously, my birthday, was a disaster.  Granddaughter is acting out so bad, so fighting with her is turning physical it seems; my ear took the brunt of a hairbrush.  I tried to have her mother over Friday night, at 3 AM she decides she is sick and has her husband come pick her up and she leaves at 3:44 in the morning.  Later yesterday, she comes back, telling me she is sick, needs some outrageous expensive medication and badgers me nonstop for an hour or hour and a half and got mad I wouldn't give her money, threw my I-phone and broke it into 15 thousand pieces, then dragged my new HD TV off the stand to the floor (luckily it still works).  It was frightening, I got in my car and left.  I still wonder what is going to happen next.  DISRESPECT.  I am seriously thinking about getting in my car and just driving off....  :(

Water...

Its been two weeks or more since our community has been without quality water out of the tap.  We have been on a boil advisory.  This is getting old really quick. The old saying, you don't know what you've got till its gone, really strikes a chord when you don't have water!  Some people don't even have 'bad' water, and schools have been closed.  Its been a little crazy around here lately.  Between the weather and the water issues, these kids will be going to school till July!

... and lets add another insult to injury. Besides this water issues, my kitchen sink has been clogged up for two days and it also sprang a leak; might have had something to do with all that pumping action from a plunger, and those little 'snake' thingies! OMG, dishes are piled up.  I don't have a dishwasher.  Liquid Plumber didn't work, so what's a girl to do?  Call a plumber, who will be here tomorrow to fix this contraption! have mercy, ya'll! :)

Do You Know Jack Schitt?

For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt'!

Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way. Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, who married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son, Jack. In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt.

The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt. Against her parents' objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout. After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock.

Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony.

The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Horse. Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt. Now when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt', you can correct them.

Sincerely, Crock O. Schitt
