the phone rings, conversation ensues reluctantly on my part, and I keep it together long enough to hang up and tears wash my face. Sometimes those who profess to love us can say the most heartless things ... voice their opinion over a decision you didn't come to lightly, chastise you, try to throw a guilt trip on you. Its not like this situation with granddaughter was something I thought I would ever be faced with, it saddens me so-- however I remain steadfast in my decision; no waivering, no guilt. Sometimes you have to let go knowing you did everything you could, that's love.
