hi there...it's nice to meet you!
Besides laughing way too much at my life here in Kentucky, I work full-time doing medical transcription from my home in my jammies! (errrr...now management as of March 2010..have mercy!) I've been doing this line of work for about 19 years now; before that I was an x-ray tech~that the best fun ever! but raising family and taking care of sick parents has a way of changing your life pattern and goals, and there are always a few curveballs thrown in!
Speaking of money, I seem to have a shortage of that these days but I try to maintain a sense of humor about it. I am the budget Queen. Groceries are outrageous, healthcare is a racket, and my paycheck seems to be smaller all the time however it appears I'm working harder for less moolah! Something is wrong with that picture.
I try to be thankful for the little things...ya know, like finding enough change to buy that occasional Pepsi when I'm craving it...yes I prefer Pepsi to Coca-Cola! or perhaps splurge on some Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia just cause I can! I used to have a gardener who was quite the sexy to look at, but these days its a new guy and he's way to young to get excited over.
on the subject of love, Your Heiny-ness is single! Not by choice, mind you, I just have not been actively seeking. It would be nice to have a warm body occasionally, lately it's been me, my EverReady steady, & my blankie! Do people ever get too old to wish for personal love in their life?
My pick a project house is 50+ years old, and I swear you can lay in bed and it's like putting those quarters in...it vibrates! I think I live on a fault line or something. How many of ya'll remember those motel beds, huh? There is always something blowing up, the plumbing, the electric, the gardener running off with the maid, and currently there's a butler opening for hire! Like my landlord Delmar used to say, "If you can't duck tape it, f**k it!" I wonder what ever happened to old Delmar, he's probably duck taped himself to the rockin' chair by now! ...
and speaking of blowing up, frustrations and hormones around here run rampant and moments of crazy ensue! Nobody is safe from making the pages of my blog world, not even my family! who are a neverending source of amusement and aggravation!
The only thing missing from my life is a good handyman! and a bigger paycheck, and of course, a King is always negotiable. Yes, I know money can't buy happiness, but it sure makes misery easier to live with.
Ya'll come back now!
