In the words of Jack Nicholson,

"Go peddle crazy somewhere else, we're all full up here."

Current status: crazy. Pictures, Images and PhotosYesterday was the craziest day here. Yes it was one of those days where "all hell breaks loose" and tests your patience and tenacity, and pushes you beyond your limits of endurance!

My oldest daughter, who has a past dependency of drug abuse and a history of hepatitis C, and who is brain damaged I suspect from disease processes and/or still on drugs? has bouts of psychotic behaviors in which she is belligerent, has paranoia, bullies, threatens, sobs, turns on you and then by nightfall seems fine? uhh...yeah. Not to mention she has two children who are bewildered by her behavior as well everybody else and once you feel the sting of all her craziness you wonder what the hell just happened and what on God's earth is anybody going to do? She thinks she has no problem and refuses to get help for herself.

She is married and I told her husband that she needs to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital or something. She came over here saying somebody was out to kill her, and then calling someone and she was going right back over to the house? Makes no sense. She refused earlier in the afternoon to pick up the kids from school or daycare and didn't care, said let Social Services have them, and knew my car was broken down being belligerent to me because I didn't give her money. It was a big scene at her house when I dropped the kids off by asking a friend of mine to take me to get them. She threatened to call the law on me if I took my granddaughter home with me because she didn't want to stay with her mother, so I had to leave her there with her acting crazy and making threats. I hate to bring the law into personal family matters, but if she refuses to get help I just might have to. She and the kids were not at the house long before she dropped them off shortly after I had come home stating she was being followed, acting paranoid, saying that someone was trying to kill her. She then calls someone to take her back to her house? It was nuts I tellya.

I told mother-in-law that her son needed to get her help, or commit her or something. But one has to wonder if hubby has an horse sense, as he has dependency issues as well in the past to include nearly dying of overdose and then going right back to abusing?! He doesn't support his family well either and barely holds a job to take care of their needs adding to my daughter's stress and mental issues I suppose. I tell you this is some drama without a happy ending looks like.

Not to mention my car is totally out of commission for two days now. I have no brakes at all, it won't hold fluid, the line is broken. Is there anything else that could do wrong?

Yes, but I don't have time to pound it out at present. It's back to the grind.

The Invitation ~

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living
I want to know what you ache for and
if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dreams
for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon…
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life’s betrayals
or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
And let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us to be careful
be realistic to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see
Beauty even when it is not pretty everyday.
And if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine and still stand on the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes”
It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
After a night of grief and despair weary
and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done to feed the love.
It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire
with me and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom
You have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside
when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself
and if you truly like the company
you keep in the empty moments.

I love this poem, I keep it tucked away in whatever journal I'm writing in presently. Thought I would share it with you. Hope you enjoyed listening.
Have a great Sunday evening.

3) I did not set the kitchen on fire this week! YAY me! So you didn't hear about that? Well, I'll spare you the details, or you can click here to read about it.

4) My 170,000 mile car is still running *please pray*

The Latest Flea Market Find..

Photobucket

This season ... be a trendsetter and show off those Hanes while you're looking for bargains at the flea market!

Yep, when it's sweltering hot out and you can't find a tank top, just make your own out of your ex-boyfriend/husband's undies! Perhaps he was useless so that's why you threw him to the curb?! so why not recycle his wardrobe to suit you?!

You're in a league of your own sporting that hot new talk of the town apparel!

ha! too funny!

Nearly Sunday ...

My house is quiet tonight. The teen is off spending the night with a friend whose birthday is tomorrow. This girl is not 16 yet, and doesn't drive so I'm not worried they're out running wild, or are they? My teens seems not to be at a loss for friends here lately, especially of the male persuasion. Just yesterday at Wal-Mart she was flirted with, and of course he was polite to me; however he's a man at 19 and she's jail bait, and my baby still! Good Lord, back off...

As far as my son, he is on chemotherapy pills for his esophageal cancer and only in his 30s. He will see the doctor back in two months. They believe they caught it early enough, I sure hope so. He lives about five hours away from me so I don't get to see him very often. I miss him. As far as my male friend who had the prostate biopsy, he will know the results this week, they said 10 days, (biopsy done Apr. 10th), so by Monday he should get a phone call. I hope and pray that these two men in my life will be around for many years to come. I'm not prepared to let either of them slip out of my life. I lost my good ex a few years ago to lung cancer, that was the hardest thing ever. I was blessed to have him in my life for nine years, and he loved my girls unconditionally which they needed so desperately.

I sometimes wonder why God takes the good ones out of our lives while some of the more vile creatures (the evil ex) in our lives still slither around. I did find out that the trial is scheduled to begin July 20th. I can't say I'm too happy about this, I just want it to be over for my daughter. It is so hard to have this bear on her heart for what will be a year in August. Wow, time has flown by.

In other news, Michael, a friend of mine, stopped by today and cut my yard. He has cut my yard for nothing for a few years now. He's pretty, and such a dear heart. His visit the first of the week caught me off guard, of course I was nasty myself, stinky, having a bad hair day, and top of that, the teen and I were having a argument, perfect timing, as usual! He has a knack for that...however, that kiss has stayed on my mind. I wished my New York baby would pay his girl a visit, and soon! I really miss not having love and affection, it's making me feel old and cranky, damnit! Perhaps I could steal some affection from the gardener?

Yes, it's been an interesting week, I nearly burnt down my kitchen and the next day I stubbed my right foot and broke my fourth toe, and it's still a pretty shade of purple!

I need a vacation...and a good roll in the hay!

The Traveling Toileteers

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying:

"Hi, how are you?"

I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom but I don't know what got into me, so I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin' just fine!"

And the other person says: "So what are you up to?"

What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say: "Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!"

At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question.

"Can I come over?"

Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell them , "No........I'm a little busy right now!!!"

Then I hear the person say nervously...

"Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions...

Famous last words of a patient I typed yesterday ~

“If you forget to do something, you don’t know you forgot to do it.”

Photobucket

unless there’s consequences, huh?

Say, for instance, you hear a strange loud pop from an adjoining room, and remembering you had something on the stove, you go to the kitchen and …

holy shit!!!!

My kitchen stove is on fire!

Can you guess my first instinct?

A. smother it.
B. throw it in the sink
C. do absolutely nothing … (I’m thinking this place is worth more to me burnt down!)

or...

D. take a photo?

First off, let me say my first instinct was not to take a picture LOL so this picture isn't mine (just so ya know) ...

However, I did have fleeting thoughts of just turning around and running! LOL and let this place burn down solving a lot of my problems with upkeep; however I don't fancy the idea of really being homeless right now.

Frankly I was shocked to see the mile high flames cause I only put a pot of water on for spaghetti, how does that catch on fire? uhh...

Upon closer inspection it was not the burner I had put the actual pot on but the back burner which I had inadvertently turned on instead. I couldn't get to the knob (since it was melted) to turn off the burner cause the flames were on it, and the pot of water was sitting on the front burner, so whaddya think I did?

Yep, I took that water and threw it right on that burner dousing out the flames luckily, but I had a towel in hand ready to tackle should I need to. After I got the flames down I doused the back where the knob was and got down and unplugged the electric stove. Even the oven was spewing stinkiness!

I had to turn on my furnace exhaust to get out the fumes and smoke out of the house, open my back door and finally I can breathe again!

If you are faced with an actual grease fire emergency on your kitchen stove, here's a video showing you what to do.

Perhaps I'll invest in a little kitchen fire extinguisher! I'm sure they'd be worth their weight in gold and luckily you would never have to use it.

Gee, wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Perhaps I'll go stove shopping.

4/14/2009 - Today I receive this notice in my email, so I guess this is going to drag on all summer long. Argggggh! Damn, this is really pissing me off.

You are registered with us to receive updates on case number CI08CR00342 under the jurisdiction of Boyd County Courthouse. A court event has been scheduled for 7/20/2009, at the following time: 9:30 AM. Court schedules and locations can change, depending upon a number of factors.

This case will be dragging on a year in August. I just want it to end!~

Esophageal Cancer

"Drinking steaming hot tea has been linked with an increased risk of esophageal (food tube) cancer, Iranian scientists have found.

The British Medical Journal study found that drinking black tea at temperatures of 70C or higher increased the risk.

Experts said the finding could explain the increased esophageal cancer risk in some non-Western populations. Adding milk, as most tea drinkers in Western countries do, cools the drink enough to eliminate the risk.....for the full article, click here.

I love hot tea myself, but never did I think it could cause me problems, but like everything else, aren't we to take this with a grain of salt? Give me a little honey instead, thank you.

I just learned that my son has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer and he is only 30ish. He has been having esophageal reflux for a few years, which had worsened. After undergoing recent testing, it was determined that the ulcer is cancer at an early stage. One can imagine that if the stomach acid is constantly coming up to inflame the esophagus it would break down the tissue, thereby over time causing a precancerous or cancerous situation. I have done a bit of research, and pictures are just awful to look at, and not to mention the outlook isn't too good if it is not caught early. I also think of another blogger who is himself fighting this battle. My son is on chemotherapy pills, and will need to see his oncologist back in two months. I am hoping the best for my blog friend, too.

Please, if you or a family suffer with stomach problems, indigestion and/or reflux tell them to talk to their physician, and opt for medical treatment instead of just treating it with over the counter antacids. Esophageal and stomach cancers are one of the fastest rising cancers in the US today. Be vigilant about your health.

Easter Sunday

My sister, the boyfriend, and my niece have come and gone back home. I saw my mom's husband yesterday (it was his birthday), and daughter and my grandkids dressed in their Sunday best today, how cute! However, I never saw my other sister, my son, or nephew and his family. My son called my sister back today and they talked obviously about his health status, which I knew he had undergone some tests, but I hadn't heard back from him even though he has been on my mind. He has really bad reflux and I have been worried about him. After my sis talked with him on the phone today, she told me he has esophageal cancer? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what she told me, and something about chemotherapy? Why, as his mother, would he not tell me? Belinda says he doesn't want to worry me, he knows I have enough to contend with, but he's my only boy. My first born. My first love. I just feel numb.

Good Friday ...

My kids asked me I were cooking an Easter dinner and I told them that my Appalachian Passover Seder will probably consist of Kentucky Fried Chicken! My sister and her boyfriend, and her daughter are coming down tomorrow. She said "mom" wanted us to celebrate and get together (long story about a medium who supposedly mom was communicating through?), as her husband's birthday is tomorrow. Mom has been dead since 2004.

I remember growing up we would all go to church on Easter Sunday not that we didn't normally go anyway, but I was always surprised at the number of new faces that would show up on Easter Sunday. For some people, that's the only time they come into a church, well except for maybe Christmastime. I always marveled at these women trying to outdo one another with their suits and hats! To some people Easter is all about dressing up and splurging for a new outfit! I haven't been inside a church for years. Organized religion is just not my thing, not that I am an atheist, but I don't feel the pressure or need to "dress up" to meet approval from a congregation cause I'm pretty sure the Lord Almighty doesn't care. To each their own.

I suppose some businesses, government agencies, or post offices were closed half a day if not all day, but my job went on for 8 hours today. I'm exhausted! As far as the legal issues for my ex from hell, I don't know how that went and I suppose his court date and trial is soon forthcoming.

The best news occurring on Good Friday was hearing from "D" after he underwent the prostate biopsy today. I said that they put in an IV and knocked him out, and he didn't feel a thing. No incidence occurred with the procedure, thank goodness! He is taking it easy at home (or is he?), and said he was peeing blood but having no pain. He keeps a sense of humor through it all.

On the home front, my teen and I are bucking heads again. Isn't this a rerun? I could swear I just saw this episode! This girl is getting on my last nerve!

In Thursday's World of Transcription ...

Here I am typing this 90 some year old woman's report. Family bring her into the emergency department because she fell a couple of days before and sustained no major injuries, just a facial contusion but had a knot come up under her left eye that they wanted checked out.

In typing her report, the nurse was dictating for Dr. Almehmi and she says the patient is on Plavix, Lanoxin, Lotrel, aspirin, Klor-Con, and ... what was that again? s/l (sounds like) Aroxil?? Are you sure it's not Amoxil?

I do not recognize this drug right off, so I have to go on a drug search. There are tons of new drugs all the time folks, so one never knows. Lo & Behold I find a drug called Eroxil! acc. to sources ...

Eroxil™ is a safe, naturally-based alternative to conventional drug therapy and to the wide array of herbal remedies and aphrodisiacs now available in the MALE sexual health market. And it’s the first that actually gets to the source of sexual dysfunction.

!! Wait a minute !! Not another sex aid product!! and just what would a 90 some year old FEMALE be taking Eroxil for, huh?

Guess that report will be sent with an anomaly for that drug!

Today's Mind Focus

Today has been a long work day, a blurring of reports, and the reemergence of the homebound instructor back today collecting Bobbi's schoolwork. Speaking of schoolwork, she has neglected some of it after being off last week for Spring break. She has been on break all year! I feel more like I'm the one in school, stressing over whether she is getting work done, bitching and prodding at her to get it done, and taking away her laptop! I have to say her withdrawal symptoms have not been pleasant either! (see Monday Mayhem below or click to Queen Blogship for the latest escapades of Princess Golden Hair Psychotic Surprise!).

Today came and went in blur, and my mind kept racing ahead about things going on tomorrow, as someone I care about is undergoing a prostate biopsy. Also, on the agenda tomorrow is the pre-trial conference of my ex from hell. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that courtroom.

However, my first choice of places is with 'baby' as he has the biopsy done. Gosh I do hope all goes well without complication. I am optimistic and *holding my breath* that the biopsy results will reveal absolutely no malignancy. I wonder how long before we find out.

Cute Joke

A teacher is explaining biology to her 4th grade students.

'Human beings are the only animals that stutter she says.

A little girl raises her hand. 'I had a kitty-cat who stuttered.'

The teacher, knowing how precious some of these stories could become,
asked the girl to describe the incident.

'Well', she began, 'I was in the back yard with my kitty and the Rottweiler
that lives next door got a running start and before we knew it, he jumped
over the fence into our yard!'

'That must've been scary,' said the teacher.'

'It sure was,' said the little girl.'My kitty raised her back,
went 'Sssss, Sssss, Sssss' and before she could say 'Shit',
the Rottweiler ate her!'

The teacher had to leave the room!

On The Legal Front...

On April 10th, there will be a pretrial conference. I had to look this up to see what it was.

At the pretrial conference, both parties must come prepared with the following information: a list of the names, addresses, and phone numbers of any witnesses they intend to call at trial, and a list of any exhibits they intend to offer at trial. The defendant is required to attend the pretrial conference, and be represented by a lawyer.

The defense will have the opportunity to discuss a plea bargain with the prosecution. The prosecution may agree to dismiss or reduce the charge, or may agree to a particular sentence. The defendant may decide to change his plea to guilty. If an agreement is reached, the parties must present their agreement to the court for the judge's approval. The agreement is usually presented at the pretrial conference, but sometimes this is scheduled for another day. If no agreement is reached, or if the judge rejects the agreement, the case proceeds to trial.

In cases where there will be a jury trial, other pretrial issues are also addressed at the pretrial conference. The judge asks the parties if they will be filing any pretrial motions, and sets a deadline for motions to be filed and heard by the court. (An example of a pretrial motion is a motion to suppress evidence, where a party filing the motion asks the court to decide prior to trial if certain evidence can be used at trial.) The judge also asks the parties if there is any discovery that has not been completed, and sets a deadline for completion of discovery. (Discovery is a formal procedure for the exchange of information between the parties.) The judge also addresses any other issues that need to be resolved before trial.

Monday Mayhem...

It all started about 5:30 when I awoke to look at the clock, and then remembering my teen telling me she wanted up at that time so she could get ready for school. I didn't have the alarm set until 6, and I usually don't start work myself until 7 a.m. I told her what time it was and that she wanted up, but she didn't get up. 6 a.m. rolled around she wasn't up. At 6:15 I decide to go to work a little early because I would have to leave my desk to take her to school and so at 6:30, 7, 7:30 rolls around and she is obviously not going to school, and on several trips up the stairs inbetween typing reports to check on her she is sitting on the bed in the dark just staring into space. I have encountered that scene a few times, and I know where that leads. It's a tug of war wills with some verbage and physicality thrown in. In trying to teach her limits and provide her less distraction she was supposed to give up her laptop computer by 10, but she refuses to do that and sleeps with it on her bed. I don't know whether she was up all night or not. I feel she has a mood disturbance and possibly a bipolar component, not to mention that teenage defiance. Who to say where one ends and the other begins, huh?

She knew her homebound ran out and she was expected to be in class. She even tells me that she wants to go to school just a little while ago. I have heard that song and dance before. Even on homebound she is failing to complete her assignments, and just yesterday I had to sit her down at 5 p.m. after she gets off work to finish what was due for the last 9 weeks after her lying to me that she got it done.

Needless to say, she has an unexcused absence for today.

Is there any logic as to why this kid can hold down a part-time job and not go to school? I thought that by letting her work part time (these last three weeks) this would improve her self esteem and sociality and help her social anxiety, therefore even helping her with getting back to school. I remember the first day she was reluctant to get out of the car, but with encouragement she did. Next thing I know I'm going to end up in court over this school stuff.

I just don't get it. She tells me and everybody else that she had no problem going to school at her Dad's, however in a conversation she tells me that she felt threatened and that was the only reason she went; she says she was more or less forced to by her dad and bitched at everyday. What does this mean exactly? That she was living with stress to the extent that once out of the stress and in a normal situation she couldn't function? This is not the only concerning factor either. Also with making new friends, I have let her have more of a social life, but she has taken that to extremes here lately as well.

I talked to the school homebound coordinator, Ms. Brown, this afternoon after working eight hours straight through. She said that her psychiatrist, not her family doctor, would have to write her out if she truly wasn't coming back to school, and write her an absence for today. Sometimes I feel like if I had forced the issue at the beginning of year, we would be okay now, but considering the shape she was in when she got here that was impossible. By Christmas break, she wanted to go to back to her old school, and even when I arranged that she wouldn't go in after I drove her out there, so I had no choice but to make her homebound once again. I thought at that point, anxiety and posttraumatic stress was still interfering with her ability to function. What I guess I hadn't realized is that the longer this goes on the harder it would be to get her back to school.

At the beginning of the year, I had her placed in an 'home confinement setting' that deals with behavioral issues, as she was so angry and defiant when she came here about going to school. I think it did help her with the initial anger and adjustment of being taken out of her Dad's house; however despite changing schools, this issue of her attending did not improve. I still see the anger when she's confronted about her behaviors, and I've felt her physical aggression, so I have to watch at what point our arguments escalate and back off. This morning, she got mad because I took her laptop away, so much that she blocked me from going out of her room telling me I would have to get past her first. I told her that from my vantage point I would throw that laptop out of the window if she insisted on blocking my exit, so she relented in my bringing it downstairs and put in under my desk, only to follow me downstairs, then in a few moments pushing my work desk (she was behind me), resulting in spillage of my coffee everywhere including quite a few things off my desk hitting the floor.

At some point she also had taken some of my hair products and sprayed it all over the bathroom to include the mirrors, however not too long thereafter I saw her going upstairs with Windex? After she cleaned up the mess she admitted to me what she had done. I hadn't known it as I was trying to work at my desk. If looks could kill I can assure you I would've been dead this morning. I told her that was pretty immature of her at 17 to pull.

Oh, did I mention she threw her meds across the room, and was this before or after I took her laptop? Before.

Tomorrow is a new day, we'll see what happens.

How To Become A Whore In Seven Easy Steps...

Have you ever seen a whore and said to yourself, "Damn, I'd like to be like her!" No? Perhaps you have a fantasy of being a high priced call girl? No? Well, maybe you've been accused of being a whore, so now you've decided to own it? Well now you can! with our brand new how-to guide entitled, "How To Become A Whore In Seven Easy Steps" brought to you by the FakeAsHell Corporation.

Step 1: To be a slut or a whore, you must first dress like one. Some of you reading this are going to need a new wardrobe or, as we like to call it, 'whore-drobe.' There are lots of different styles you could go with but we at the head office prefer the classics. You can't go wrong with things like high heels (preferably red ones), stockings, a leather mini-skirt, and a dirty white shirt. If this isn't your style, you could try getting your clothes in the junior miss department. Nothing says slut quite like clothes that are 9 sizes too small and 10 or more years too immature for you.

Step 2: Make up.
This is a pretty easy step for most of you to achieve. Simply study the make up habits of five different women who you believe are not whores. Now, apply as much make up as all five of these women put together. Remember: when it comes to make up there is no such thing as too much!

Step 3: Location, location, location.
You don't normally see whores at libraries, seminars, book stores, video game arcades, churches, bake sales, garage sales, fancy office buildings, pottery shops, government offices, health clubs, or local parks. That means these places must be strictly avoided. We advise the all time classic street corner. No one knows why whores are drawn to street corners but the scientists in our research and development labs suggest that it maybe due to electrochemical reactions in the brains of whores when exposed to this natural habitant. It's either that or something to do with magnets... or solar flares. Honestly, we don't pay that much attention to our R&D guys.

Step 4: Walk the walk. i.e. literally walking like a whore. Many whores can be spotted by the way they walk up and down the street. The 'whore walk' is a strange, delightful dance characterized primarily by walking like they have a stick in their ass. For those of you who wish to replicate and master this style of walk at home, our R&D guys suggest you try walking after literally inserting a phallic shaped object into your ass. We suggest cucumbers, carrots, small flashlights, or an empty bottle. If none of these are available, an erect male penis will suffice.

Step 5: Scent of a whore. You can't just look like a whore, you'll need to smell like one too! To achieve this you must first go to your local store and locate the perfume section. Once their, select the cheapest style available and ideally you'd like to buy in bulk. Once purchased, apply between ¼ and ¾'s of a cup directly onto your clothes and skin. Reapply as needed. The difficult part of smelling like a whore is that you can't simply go and buy some whore mouthwash. Instead you'll need to make it yourself. To make whore mouthwash mix one tablespoon of hard liquor with two tablespoons of semen. Rinse vigorously and repeat if needed.

Step 6: Sound like a whore. Whores are extremely generous. You can often find kind hearted whores asking strangers if they "would like a date" or if they're simply "looking for a good time." These aren't just empty statements either; many a whore will actually follow up on their new friends requests. Most whores have very bad memories, at least when it comes to names. If they find that they have forgotten the name of someone they have recently met they will often believe that the individual's name was "John." Our R&D staff has not gotten back to us as to why this strange phenomenon occurs.

Step 7: Get a PhD in S-E-X. Before people will really believe you are a whore, you'll need to know a little bit about sex. That's right, whoring is not "no experience necessary." Our R&D guys suggest that a quick way to gain lots of new experience is to walk up to every guy you know and ask them if they would like to engage in various sexual acts with you. Independent studies indicate that in most scenarios, their answer to your question will be 'yes'. For some unknown and seemingly unrelated reason, our R&D would like us to ask that if you have read our entire brochure and our serious about entering into the fulfilling world of professional whoring then you should contact them for 'one on one' counseling, free of charge... wow, isn't that nice of them?!

and there you have it! Happy Whoring!

Are You Afraid of Heights?

This is El Camino del Rey in El Chorro (The way of the king) near Alora in Malagala, Spain. It was built in 1901 for King Alfonso XIII (1866- 1941). It was closed after four deaths in two accidents on the trail in 1999 and 2000. While the trail is closed to hikers, as you can see from this video, daredevils still attempt on a regular basis.

It looks like most of the people put repelling equipment and hook onto cables to hike this, otherwise one slip and oh my, it was thrilling and frightful just to watch! Would you try it?

by the way, I realize that music plays here 24/7, so if you choose not to listen to it or wish to view the video minus the music noise! LOL just hit the little square box on the player to shut it up!  Funny thing, I'm sure most of you already knew that, however, it is a running joke for me with a friend of mine at Blogstream.  He complained to me that he couldn't watch a video one day because the music was playing on my blog over there, so I had to give him directions on how to shut it up!

April Fools Day

I guess I would be the fool today for paying seventy some odd dollars to get my teen's hair fixed from strawberry blonde back to her more natural state. She got a wild manic hair up her butt a few days ago and decided she wanted to go blonde all the way! pretty much platinum (like her friend Betty Boop I call her) but what she ended up with was strawberry blondish red...eeeek! but now it's fixed, thanks to me.

In the last few days her and I have butt heads over her risky behaviors. I don't know what gets into this kid, but talking with her is like talking to a wall sometimes she just doesn't get it. Her moods are erratic, and I swear I think she's bipolar. Monday morning while sitting in a new psychiatrist's office she was her usual antisocial self. At one point she wouldn't even sit in the lobby and went out to the car.

Today while sitting in the counselor's office with my teen I just let 'er fly! I told the counselor about her latest escapades, and about trying to make house rules that she refuses to acknowledge or follow through with. I think the counselor understood my position and was surprised at her irresponsibility It's time momma played hardball!
