Calling all Geeks..

this stinks...

where are all my Blogger linky friends?

I had a bunch of Blogger links of friends here and they are pretty much gone, disappeared, so are my other link sections at the bottom.

What is going on with Blogger? that's just weird...

anybody else having issues like this?

link in people, so I know who ya are! I miss you guys. I'm trying to find yuns! hit me up!

and while I"m online it appears I am targeted again for this pesky little Rogue virus inhabiting the internet world, that likes to disguise itself as XP Security 2012 Unregistered Version or XP Security 2012 Firewall Alert...who like to run this little 'scan' to intimidate telling you have security threats, when it is itself the actual virus...oh my word, twice in a two week period.

What to do?  Call Microsoft again...did that the 4th of this month.  Same exact virus. I tell yuns this online venture is getting old when it seems everytime I'm on here there's some nasty virus trying to hack in. Anybody else bothered with this? annoyance...

The guy at Microsoft gave me a folder on my desktop with instructions for me, geeky girl, to do next time this occurs...so I"m armed and ready now...bring it on!!!! I will take great satisfaction in killing it myself without having assistance...

Here's a new one for yuns...

Tech Support with Microsoft

Folks,

It appears that my security was breached while I was in my yahoo and linking into Facebook Blogstreamers's Reunited page.  I don't know why or what, and even though Microsoft Security Essentials have been in my computer and fixed this issue, I am gun shy about coming back into Facebook.  If I do, its definitely no games and no download for games.

Question:  Is anyone else having issues with either email or their links associated to Facebook out of their email?  It raises concerns for me about that site.  Now that I think about it, Isabella and I downloaded a Bejewled game.  We clicked a link in Facebook which took us to another page to download (?I want to say pickle something?)...anyway, the next day my homepage was different, and my browser seemed hijacked on search, things were just weird; I thought I had fixed it, nothing came up on scan until this latest.  It could have been related, not sure.

Anyway, holler back if you have experienced browser instability, hanging up, yahoo mail or facebook issues.  I am curious to know.

Imagine My Surprise!

This morning when my alarm went off, and I had to get Isabella out of bed, I asked her if it was Friday.  I was thinking it was only Thursday, not looking forward to the day, but a quick check of my computer alerted me that it is Friday!  It couldn't come soon enough to suit me!

The complaints this week didn't last too long, everybody was served up with emails concerning their bloopers, and we moved on.  Our new In-House FQA liasion is stepping up to the plate, trying to deal with some serious issues between us and our offshore QA Department.  Thank goodness some good things are happening; its about frickin' time!

It is Friday, TGIF! Have a great weekend ya'll!

Shit Tuesday

I was not expecting today to be a day of complaints from clients. After being off for a week and my first day back, I would have liked a little more positive ending to my day.  However, supervisor informs me that not 1, but 2 accounts are complaining; one is thinking of pulling out altogether instead of using our services.  Oh well, its become quite a pain in the neck quite frankly.  They want perfection, let them go in search of it.  Good luck, and good riddance to bad rubbish who cannot dictate worth a shit anyway.  One of the complaints we got just gave us a rave review 2 weeks before.  How can they in two weeks' time now complain?  What did they do? get a couple of reports that had a mistake on them?  Oh yeah, one was a date that was dictated as July, not November, but we got blamed for that one, because we put what the doctor dictated as the date.  He could have been catching up on an old dictation, how would we know otherwise?

Anyway, being in management and having to be over the QA department people and their lack of paying attention to details is always an accident waiting to happen.  Nobody is perfect, not in the world of quality control especially when humans are involved.  If these clients want perfection, then I suppose they can type their own documents and proof them too.  I don't care if I become part of an audit team or not, that's better than taking the heat for people who don't do their damn job.  Why would independent contracters be worried about error?  They don't get paid enough to worry or look stuff up like they should.  Perhaps the company should look at what they can do to improve things instead of cutting down their people, smacking their hands for making mistakes...stupid shit...yeah its Tuesday.

What will tomorrow bring?  Who the hell knows...maybe I won't have a job to worry with tomorrow.

Later.

Sleepy and grumpy...here.

Yep, first day back at school after being out since Friday, November 18, 2011, BellaRose had a hard time wanting to roll out of bed, and put her clothes on, and get ready for the bus.  I can't say I did any better... I questioned myself whether I was supposed to work after I got Bella up, peeked in the QA HUB, didn't see any work per se, but then I located my calendar and realized I was off! hahaha!, so I went back to bed, awakened once again by the phone, somebody from work calling me.

It seems last night, all I got done was email for some reason, and I dreamed about some guy I know...weird, a love triangle, he needs to choose...LOL...and then driving a car that I never drove before, it didn't have good brakes I was freaking out and then around a curve there was a car parked in the road, not too far after trying to get around a blind curve I pulled off...inbetween there were more emails...like somebody had typed a report, pasted parts of it in an email for me to have to change on the document or something...this went back and forths all night...then the alarm went off.  Geeze, I never did sleep seemed like...

and now, its 10 a.m., and I am headed back to bed, what am I? nuts?!!!!!

 just-SUNDAY-MORNING-JAZZ

Enjoy…

 Sundays...

When I was growing up, Sundays usually meant big Sunday meals, church, and perhaps a visit from the preacher.  Ours was a fairly big family at 8, and oftentimes the preacher would just stop by and hang out, some were commissioned by the church to home visit, some were pretty cool actually, all affiliated with the First Baptist Church. The older I have become, the more I stray from organized religion, I don't know if because we were 'made to go' but at the same time however it did give us a sense of knowing we are not alone in this infinite space, not unlike so many  today whose feet have never graced a church floor.  I at this juncture do not feel the need to pursue organized religion again, but some people benefit from it. Do you go to church every Sunday?

Turkey Talk...

Let's talk turkey.

Okay, bloggers, Turkey Day is almost officially in countdown mode now.  Thanksgiving is just hours away, and I've decided that I would give a shout-out to those unsung heroes of the holiday season: the ladies who work the Butterball Hotline (1-800-288-8372) and offer advice, cooking tips, solace and (occasionally) medical assistance to those completely befuddled by the cooking of the Big Bird.

The question posed here (meaning I looked this shit up on Google), was an actual question that one of the Ladies of the Butterball Turkey Emergency Squad has been asked.  While the answer isn't exactly what 'she' would or did say...who ever really calls this place?

Question: "How do I get a chihuahua out of my turkey?"
Answer:  Butterball lady says, "Excuse me, m'am?

Question: "Yes, my chihuahua crawled inside my turkey and is stuck. How do I get him out?"

Answer: Why would you want to do that? Chihuahuas are both delicious and nutritious and will bring a nice South of the Border flair to your Thanksgiving meal. Just take into account the weight of the dog when calculating a cooking time, and it should make for some excellent eating after being basted for several hours in a Butterball turkey's delicious natural juices. Oh, and also? I'd make sure your oven door has a strong lock.

Yeah, some people love eating dog all year, not just at Thanksgiving...gross!! lol...

Well, I don't know about yuns, but thinking about a big turkey stuffed with Chihuahua and all the trimmings make me feel exhausted, nauseous, and sleepy!  I could go with a fat juicy hamburger, chips/dip, and maybe a soda and I think that would be perfect! The kids would think so too, in fact, why cook all that stuff and then have it leftover?  Order a pizza, fix some hamburgers, and the kids make cookies, take them to a movie, spend less time inside eating, more time doing something else.  While I would not miss a turkey and all that other junk, I would absolutely have to have some pumpkin pie.

Yes, turkey can go...but pumpkin pie is a must! and with that, I hope you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Be kind to those you despise all year long, and take a dessert over to the gathering, makes for interesting fun later.  Yes, for MIL (mother-in-law) its Ex-Lax laced brownies, Yes! she sooooo loves chocolate!

a fishy tale

Growing up, the closest we got to fish was those processed fish sticks made out of minced weird fish, which my mother overcooked, but then she overcooked everything and with an overabundance of salt.

While raising my own children, I could not get them to necessarily come to love fish with the same respect I did. I could make salmon patties, more or less covering up that good flavor, but try to get them to eat a nice fillet outside of frying was just impossible. My father and I had a love of fish and all things seafood, like shrimp and lobster, and fresh water fish; love cod and red snapper, tilipia is rather bland to me; I prefer something a little stronger and tastier.

For lunch today, I fixed Atlantic salmon, oh my gawd, it was so delicious! I dearly love it. I cannot get little Isabella to each fish at all either, so while she was at her mother's I got my craving in. The cats meowed to get a taste of it, which I gave up very little of, teasing them. I don't like a whole lot of seasoning on my meat or fish, I want the real flavor to shine through, otherwise whats the use?

Moody Me...

the perfect ending for my workweek, a little easy listening jazz...

"I want you to want me..." Kirk Whalum...

"...Body, remember not only how much you were loved, not only the beds where you lay, but also those desires for you, shining clearly in eyes and trembling in a voice—and some chance obstacle thwarted them. Now when everything is the past, it almost looks as if you gave yourself to those desires as well—how they shone— remember—in the eyes that looked at you, how they trembled for you in the voice—remember, body.."
quote by CONSTANTINE P. CAVAFY

have your feeling of moment at...

funny

An older gentleman had an appointment to see a urologist who shared an office with several other doctors. The waiting room was filled with patients.

He approached the receptionist's desk. The receptionist was a large, imposing woman who looked like a wrestler. He gave her his name and in a very loud voice the receptionist said: "Yes, I see your name here... you want to see the doctor about impotence, right?"

The heads of all the patients in the waiting room snapped around, to look at the very embarrassed man.

He recovered quickly though, and in an equally loud voice replied: "No, I've come to inquire about a sex change operation... and I'd like the same doctor that did yours!"

hahahaha!

how about another joke?

A teacher is talking about marriage.

"What kind of wife would you like, Tommy?" she asks.

"One like the moon," says Tommy.

"Do you want her to be calm and beautiful?" asks the teacher.

"No, I want her to come at night and disappear in the morning."

Well, the weekend surely goes too quickly.  Its back to the grind.  We have had a lot of changes lately, people leaving in high positions, makes one a little nervous.  Anyway, it will be a day of moving work around, and reviewing files, etc...

Have a good Monday everybody!

He's a Creeper...

Are any of you guys watching this "Sweet Genius" show on Food Network.  I love a few shows on this channel, like Iron Chef and Chopped, but this show...

Sweet Genius is a sugar-packed competition series that challenges America's premier pastry chefs to create magical and inventive desserts given inspiration, surprise ingredients and a finite amount of time. The chefs must compete in three unique pastry challenges judged by Ron Ben-Israel — the Sweet Genius creeper himself — who will critique their work and determine who will receive the $10,000 cash prize.

He makes his grand entrance through some opening doors, swish! They have this female robotic voice who will tell each of the contestants about the ingredient and/or the inspiration object, as these things make their way down this conveyer belt after he hits some button; and just when they think they got their dessert worked out he throws a 'secret' ingredient down the runway...Yep...its just downright creepy...and the host...the ultimate creeper in my opinion.

Yep, this is the one your mother warned you about ... the sugar creeper! sweet genius...my ass! he's a sugar sadist!

TGIF

I have definitely had moments of stress this week.  Luckily nobody got hurt; however I am not vocally challenged when it comes to email...I will let 'er rip! Yep, they ain't paying me enough for this stress!  Its a constant battle with these ICs (independent contractors, not worth the powder and lead to blow them up most days) and employee FQAs reminding them of what they should already know and be doing on these accounts.  Do they read or follow instructions available to them? hell no...They would rather interrupt me on IM (instant mesenger) while I have enough on my plate with reviewing files and managing the workload flow.  Tonight it dragged on way too long, and at 9:30 p.m. I finally got done with what I had to do.  Fruck that shit! You know how this scenario goes.  Pete and RePete were sitting on a fence, Pete fell off, who was left? why Repeat (aka Re-Pete) of course!

Whose got booze? Somebody take me away from this madness!

Oh, did I mention? Isabella is at a pajama party tonight at her friend's house....which means, while the little one is away, mamaw can play! hahaha!

Happy Friday everybody!

My Excuse...

I love being off on Mondays...I am actually off tomorrow too I think...LOL...

Actually I have vacation time coming, and I am damn sure taking it...
not like last year, I lost it...

and how was your Monday?

trick or treat was fun, running around with the kids...

"Little Bo Creep" did not wear her costume, as her mommy bought her an unoriginal spider vampiress type of costume so she wore that.

Wyatt was Woody...typical boy.

They had way too much fun! but I got candy to last me all week...LOL

melovecandy!

Jack Scranton couldn't understand why any woman would have so many photographs of herself scattered throughout her home, but he didn't really have time to worry about whatever form of narcissism the dead woman had been into.

He hadn't meant to kill her, but he hadn't expected her to be home. He'd been so careful about timing her movements and he knew she never returned home before nine on Thursdays. That's why he'd been so startled, when he opened her bedroom door and saw her standing there in her robe and slippers. She'd screamed, so he'd backhanded her and sent her flying backward against the sharp corner of a dresser. Her head had hit it with a sickening thud and then bent at an unnatural angle as she'd slid to the floor.

He'd never killed anyone before, never even come close, and his hands shook unceasingly as he rooted through her dresser drawers. He kept glancing furtively over at the body, not knowing what to expect, and hurried through the bedroom as quickly as possible. He opened the bottom drawer on each dresser, then worked his way up. Only amateurs started at the top, having to close each drawer before opening the next. He found a jewelry box and dumped its contents into the leather satchel he carried with him. Before leaving the bedroom, he glanced at the body, wondering if he should pull the diamond from her finger. But the thought of touching the body made his stomach churn like a washing machine and he gave up the idea.

He knew he should abandon this job, but it had been months since his last successful score and his cash reserve had almost disappeared. He'd spent weeks casing this woman's house after Al Witherspoon-- an insurance agent who took ten percent of every successful score he turned Jack onto-- had given him the details.

"Her name's Annie Rivers. She's a vice-president for Cooper Industries, lives alone, and must keep a good hundred to two hundred thousand in cash and jewels in the house at any one time," Al had told him when they'd met under the neon beer sign in the back booth at the Malibu Bar and Grill.

Al described the security system-- a good one, but one that Jack had cracked many times in the past.
"She's got some relative, Fannie Albright, lives in Arizona, named in her life insurance policy," Al explained. "When I talked to her about her homeowner's policy, she told me there's no other relatives, no husbands, ex-husbands, or boyfriends."

"What about her schedule?" Jack asked.

"That's up to you to figure out. I've done everything I can." Al gathered up his papers and stuffed them into his briefcase. He'd shown Jack her entire file, including a rough layout of the house and Polaroids of the security system and many of the rooms. Everything he'd shown Jack went back into his briefcase so he could return it to the office. The two wouldn't talk again until Jack delivered Al's ten percent.

Jack had spent the three weeks following his meeting with Al watching Annie Rivers' home, tracking her arrival and departure times until he felt certain of a time when she would be away from the house long enough for him to ransack it. Most evenings she returned home between six and seven, but each Thursday she played racquetball with one of the company's other vice presidents. On those nights she never returned home before nine.

The time between eight and nine seemed best. By then the sun would have gone down and her nearest neighbors would be unable to see him prowling around outside. He could be inside her house within ten minutes, could ransack the place within fifty minutes, and be back in his car and pulling away moments before she arrived home from her game.

Jack shook his head, trying to forget all the events that had led to his current, untenable situation. He needed to finish and get out. He needed to get away from the house as quickly as possible, but he couldn't leave until he'd gotten all the cash and everything he could pawn. He would need to leave town as soon as possible. He tried to keep his attention on the task at hand, tried to concentrate on his desire for cash and not on the body in the other bedroom.

Still, the photos spooked him. It was like the dead woman watched his every move.

He finished the room and moved on to the next, then the next. At a quarter of nine he finished with the upstairs and at two minutes past nine he finished with the downstairs. He'd made quite a haul and felt sure he would have enough to leave town, perhaps even to disappear for a long, long time.

As he crossed the foyer from the den to the living room, Jack heard a key in the front door and stopped. Annie Rivers lived alone and never had unexpected visitors. He'd made sure of it.

When the dead woman opened the door, stepped into the foyer, and snapped on the light, Jack was so startled he stood dumbly, caught like a deer in a car's headlights. Annie saw him and instinctively swung her racquetball racquet, connecting with his face and sending him flying backward. He hit his head on the banister of the staircase and tumbled to the ground in a heap, obviously knocked cold. The leather satchel in his hands dropped to the floor and popped open, spilling her collection of jewelry and two tightly banded stacks of twenty dollar bills to the floor.

Annie phoned 911. Within minutes, her home swarmed with police. After Jack had been roused, handcuffed, and escorted away, white-faced and shaking, in the rear seat of a squad car, Annie stood with a police lieutenant trying to maintain her composure. Two men in white uniforms wheeled a gurney containing her sister's body past them. "My sister had just arrived this morning," Annie explained as she dabbed at her tears with corner of her sweatshirt sleeve. "All the way from Phoenix. I had already taken tomorrow off so we could go shopping."

Annie bit her lip and stared at the photo of her twin on the fireplace mantel.

Displaced~

I never thought in my wildest dreams that the only home my 19 year old has known from day one would be sold, but it was, and she is just now displaced.   She had to move into a tiny little rental house not far from me in the city here with her controlling father.  Her father has always been the most selfish human on the planet.  Without monies borrowed on the house like normal people would have done to build, his parents financed his home to be built way back when (1989), and since our subsequent divorce, and death of his mother and father, so did any debt he might have owed them in return.  He was never one to give back, not even to say I'm sorry should he be wrong about anything.  He was made executor of his parents estate, and left his brother absoultely nothing (it was said he had to give him $1).  His brother was the oldest, but he was the most controlling.

Frankly, if those walls could talk, they would certainly have a story to tell.   A lot of sweat and tears, abuse and heartache filled that house way back when; he also had another ex, and more heartache and tales of woes, not to mention the abuse my daughter suffered as a child with this man.  In order to write about it, I have to acknowledge my inability to stop him, unable financially to remove her from his clutches, or bring the courts to know who he was, what he was...it makes me sick to this day.  The courts, what do they truly care about when it comes to child? He certainly was never any good parent to my other two children, but its okay he gets to keep my baby child who at not quite 6 years old never spent a night away from her mother...why? Money talks in small towns...shameful.  I will never forget that day or the feeling of loss, years of loss...it still makes me tear up.  I hope his death is very slow and very very painful, and I hope he rots in hell...

I'm told he is a regular church-goer now, excuse me I have to vomit at that.

Not only did he sell every antique his mother ever owned, he sold their home for profit (perhaps forced to split this with his brother?), and now he is selling the only thing that is rightfully my daughter's.  I am not surprised at his lack of thinking of anyone else.  Bobbi has nothing of value that even belonged to her grandmother, whom she loved dearly.  She was the only grandchild, and was much loved.  When arrested back when my daughter was 16, her uncle (his brother) tried to make sure that any estate inheritance be rightfully put away for her; however I don't know how far that got, or what she was due from her grandparents estate.  It was hidden and/or changed.  My daughter herself knows nothing of what she was supposedly to gain from her grandparents estate.  Most of it I'm sure went to my ex's legal defense, thereby taking my daughter's inheritance away from what would have been rightfully hers to begin with to pursue a college degree, provide support in her young adult life, etc...

Her uncle died in that house while my ex (divorce filed by me in 1997) was in jail facing serious charges of sexual abuse of a minor child.  It was days upon days before the authorities found him.  I heard from a friend of his that he believed himself that his own brother was guilty, and why?  So many unanswered questions all these years.  The best thing that could have happened was for him to be convicted, so my daughter could really move on with life.  Ask me if I think he's innocent of this? I'd have to say no.  Since he was found not guilty on all charges he has not been able to really obtain a job, and supposedly his health has deteriorated, and according to my daughter he is trying to get his disability.  Why?  Because he has smoked cigarettes at an alarming rate since young adulthood, and now he expects compensation?  He was carried financially his whole life by his parents, whether they were living or dead.

I abhor this man so much for all he has put my family, and especially what he has put our daughter through, and still continues his reign of her.  She will never be free of his control until he dies.  My hope for her is that its soon.  Certainly, I do not have any qualms about stating this.  Tell me I'm wrong, tell me that something bad is probably going to happen to me because of it, and it still won't change how I feel.  The day he dies is a day of celebration, and months or perhaps years following his death, my daughter's emotional demise of the abuse he has put her through will flood her memories she has locked away so long.  She is still very much a child in a grown up world, struggling to find a place or direction.  Her father's control is more than she can bear at times, but yet she chooses not to leave it behind at 19.  Its a sick relationship those two have.  Let's hope I'm still around to help her pick up the pieces.

Sorry for the ramble, just on my mind.

What Do You Want to Be for Halloween?

A bald man with a wooden leg gets invited to a Halloween party.  He doesn't know what costume to wear to hide his head and his leg, so he writes to a costume company to explain his problem.  A few days later he received a parcel with the following note:

Dear Sir,
Please find enclosed a pirate's outfit. The spotted handkerchief
will cover your bald head and, with your wooden leg, you will be
just right as a pirate.

Very truly yours,
Acme Costume Co.

The man thinks this is terrible because they have emphasized his Wooden Leg and so he writes a letter of complaint.

A week goes by and he receives another parcel and a note, which says:

Dear Sir,
Please find enclosed a monk's costume. The long robe will cover
your Wooden leg and, with your bald head, you should really look
the part.

Very truly yours,
Acme Costume Co.

Now the man is really upset since they have gone from emphasizing his wooden leg to emphasizing his bald head, soagain he writes the company another nasty letter of complaint.  The next day he gets a small Parcel and a note, which reads:

Dear Sir,
We have TRIED our very BEST
Please find enclosed a bottle of molasses and a bag of crushed nuts.
Pour the molasses over your bald head, pat on crushed nuts,
stick your Wooden Leg up your ass and go as a caramel apple.

Very truly yours,
Acme Costume Co.

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.

bahahahahaha

Sunday's ha-ha's for a Monday

Mondays! what Sunday threw up...check these shows out...

A Marine stationed in Iraq recently received a "Dear John" letter from his girlfriend back home. It read as follows:

Dear Ricky, I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is just too great. I must admit that I have cheated on you twice, since you've been gone, and it's not fair to either of us. I'm sorry. Please return the picture of me that I sent to you.

Love, Becky

The Marine, with hurt feelings, asked his fellow Marines for any snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters, ex-girlfriends, aunts, cousins etc. In addition to the picture of Becky, Ricky included all the other pictures of the pretty gals he had collected from his buddies. There were 57 photos in that envelope, along with this note:

Dear Becky, I'm so sorry, but I can't quite remember who you are. Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me."

now that's a great comeback!

here's another chuckle for ya...

The teacher of the school geography class was lecturing on map reading.

After explaining about latitude, longitude, degrees, and minutes, the teacher said: "Suppose I asked you to meet me for lunch at 23 degrees, 4 minutes north latitude and 45 degrees, 15 minutes east longitude. Where would I be eating?"

After a confused silence, Little Johnny put up his hand and replied: "My guess is you'd be eating alone!"

hahaha!

Butt Scootin' Boogie...

Can only means bad news, right?

Little Annie is so fuzzy that sometimes her 'doodies' get stuck in her fur, and today, she did a butt-scootin' boogie leaving a big fat smear on the kitchen floor, luckily not on the carpet! lol...hilarious...

but then cleaning her up and the mess up! uck! yuck! stinky!

and check this out...

is this not the cutest little kitten ever?
Holey shiz, just when I think I've got the cutest kitten ever, i come across this face...adorable...I want one. I guess if anybody is interested, they need to check here.

What Do You Want to Be for Halloween?

Halloween will be here before you know it, and already Isabella has given thought to her costume this year...she tells me..."I want to be Little Bo Peep."

but not the "goody two-shoes" version...the darker version of Little Bo Beep...

Ah, yes, she wants to be Little Bo Creep...the deviant alter ego of Bo...should be interesting.

So here we are searching online for ideas for a costume, a cross between gothic and horror? and maybe we'll have a black sheep skewered on the shepherd's crook...

Yeah, well most BoPeep costumes are geared for adults (sexy version), or are foo-foo lacy children's storybook themed...finding or making a darker version might require a little research and imagination...We got a neighbor lady who will sew it, we are currently working on envisioning it and sketching it out on paper. I'll take a pic for yuns Halloween, so you can see how it turned out. (barring she doesn't change her mind between now and then).

Stolen from Phil Alexander's parody song, "Find My Lambs For Myself (The Bo Peep Song)" (to the tune of "Keep your hands to yourself" by the Georgia Satellites.)

Well, I'm out in a field with a Little Bo Peep
We're a-lookin' and a-callin' tryin' to find her sheep
But each time we try - nuttin' each time we call
I mean no mutton, no shittin' nope, we're findin' flock all
I said "Maybe they've been eaten by a lion or a wolf"
She said "Ain't 'fraid of no lions, I'll find my lambs for myself"

Oh, baby Bo Peepie, why're we searchin' this way
I wanna be your lover boy, let's have a roll in the hay
That's when I told her my name is Little Boy Blue
And I've a horn she can blow on (if she really want to)
She said "Ain't funny, you pervy, you blow on it yerself
She said an' she's gonna try to find her lambs for herself

You see I'd had enough of seekin' I was about to give in
That's they started a-comin' back, waggin' their tails behind them
I said honey, these lambs gonna look so good on a plate
She said no mutton, no cookin' these lambs ain't gonna be ate

Here's the question bloggers:

Cremation, Traditional Casket Burial?  or perhaps you prefer the Cycled Life method...(alkali disposition, what is it? click here).

What's your choice?

For me, its cremation.  Not sure I want my remains to be doused with chemicals to reduce me to nothing, but supposedly cremation emits carbon dioxide and toxins and such, and Cycled Life would reduce that; however, I doubt if Appalachia is ready to offer me the Cycled Life option.  I am not sure but I think cremation in my area has to be done out of State, or it was when my ex died.

I prefer cremation at this point, not knowing about the availability of the other, not because its cheaper, but because I want to be freed, not buried.

My life has been stifled enough, why do I want to be encapsulated in a horrid casket, and placed in the ground to rot?  Hell no...that is not for me.

Scatter my ashes, set me free with the wind to travel those places I never got to visit.  Bind me back into the earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Yes, cremation is definitely what I choose.  I do not want to rot inside of a casket, that's just creepy and nasty.  Who cares, you're dead, right?  Obvioulsy a choice all of us will have to make.

As far as expense, I don't need or want a parade, nor the expense associated with such, as burial has become quite a cost burden for those loved ones already grieving and/or celebrating whichever the case may be.  Maybe you want to leave your loved ones with all that expense, after all they f**ked you all these years...LOL...however, for me, its a personal choice of freeing and/or cleansing my spirit, setting myself free.

I had my sister promise me she would not bury me in the ground, but rather take my ashes and dispose as requested, then bury my urn somewhere if they needed a "place to flower" come Memorial Day.

So, have you thought about what you want?  Made your wishes known?

cracked out...

I don't know about ya'll but this has been the longest day, EVER...
I've been draggin' my butt all week it seems.

We had some new orthopedic account pop in FQA today;
I knew this was not going to be pleasurable,
with the workload already up, and its Friday?
My suspicions were correct; it was
some lady that talked so fast,
you'd swear she was on crack
slurred nearly every word she spouted out...
half the stuff the MTs either left out or misinterpreted
what a frickin' nightmare!!!

Yep, glad today is over.
however, some lucky FQA will have an even more horrid Monday!
when they will have a new ortho acct assigned to them.
Yes! who will be the lucky one?...
whoever pisses me off, that's who...
right now I have one in mind.

A Blonde Bella Moment ~ Tuesday December 11, 2007

I have to tell you guys a somewhat funny story about a toothbrush called the Roto-Dent. Some time ago, I purchased one from my dentist’s office after a routine cleansing as it would be an asset to the whole dental hygienic experience! I love clean teeth and gums!

Anyway, the reason I opted for this rather expensive brush was that first and foremost it had a lifetime warranty, four interchangeable heads, and if anything happened I could get another one from my dentist ... and since I have never really had a mechanical brush, I opted to buy this Roto-Dent to enhance my otherwise boring dental routine!

So, I was in oral heaven until ...

one day my Roto baby just quit rotating ...

Mind you, I have a daughter who has braces at 15 and when she visits she had taken over using my Roto-Dent for her dental pleasures. She loved it, too, using the other two heads that of course, I was NOT using! We love each other but~ hey, we don’t share the same dental brush heads! She hates using the water pik which is the only thing she has at her dad’s so coming here to use my Roto-Dent was something she really looked forward too, and even asked me to buy her one of her own for Christmas! That would be an expensive Christmas present, but I had planned on getting her one because with her dental needs she really could use one.

Okay, allright ... back to the story!

Anyway, I saw my dentist this past week, and I informed her of the plight of my situation with the Roto-Dent! I told them it just quit! and so much for the lifetime warranty I was miffed! and of course I was promptly presented with another one which I was excited about! She told me just to bring the old one back in next time I came which will be in March. So, I bring my new Roto baby home and open it up, and am using it, and I am once again in heaven!

and then I am getting ready to throw the Styrofoam packing in the garbage when I notice that there is something on the back side! It looked like a power cord with a plug-in unit. Yes folks, instead of getting another brush, all I had to do was charge mine up! and of course, the charge hole was on the very end of the handle, who would've seen that?

*insert giggles here*

My daughter and I laughed till we rolled in the floor over this one! I suppose we will giggle about this one forever! and of course, my daughter was in heaven because she got an early Christmas present!

Will I tell my dentist of this most embarrassing find? Heck no! So why am I telling you guys? Good question! My credibility and intelligence is totally shot to hell now, huh? So there you have it folks, I guess a lifetime warranty means nothing without a charge unit! and a brain!

and now a word from our Sponsor!

ha!
...! Okay, lunch break is over, I've brushed my teeth, and back to work I go! Enjoy your day, bloggers!

You do realize you will have to explain when you don't return the Roto-dent that "doesn't work" to the dentists office? I guess you'll just have to fess up.

Sherry & I use to blog at Blogstream, but she also blogs here.

Leave it to you to remind me of that! maybe I'll run across one somewhere that is deader than a doorknob! (oh, forget that now that I think about it ... they have her name and dental logo on them!) oh what to do ... what to do ...

Well, see it's like this ... How was I to know it was rechargeable? after all I never saw the charger with the first brush, it obviously got thrown in the garbage by mistake because it was stuffed in the StyroFoam on the backside! for goodness sakes! and it said it was a lifetime warranty, right? It didn't say nuttin' about needin' charging! Well, of course I didn't read the actual directions that came with it, as they went in the garbage along with the charger!

Reopening a 1940s Cold Case file...

I know this post might appear a little odd; however a few years ago, my sister's daughter went to see a medium. This was after my mother's death from bowel surgery complications.  It was a shock to all of us, however, in the visit with this medium, my mother and her mother came through with revelations.  My mother was concerned over what was happening with my eldest daughter, mentioned her, and for us to look after her, she was worried about her, and come to find out with good reason.

While questions were being asked and/or information exchanged and revealed, my grandmother, Katherine "Betty" Whitt, told her story.  If when you die, are you able to confer with those who have passed on before you? see the future? look back into your past like a movie reel of your life? It makes you wonder, doesn't it?  Do you believe that your loved ones stay connected even though they have passed on?

My grandmother revealed that she died of blunt trauma to the head, (circa 1945), she wasn't sure with what exactly, whether it was a gunshot directly to her head, or some other object.  She also revealed the person who did this to her; it was my grandmother's lover's brother.  My grandmother was murdered by her lover's brother because a love child born out of wedlock? I don't know the motive, it was the early 1940s...was it mafia, money, greed? a jealous rage of some sort?  Perhaps my grandmother threatened to blow the whistle on something?  It was rumored this was a 'mafia' hit.  My mother's life would forever change, and we would never know our own grandmother due to this perpetrated and premeditated act of violence.  I remember seeing her picture in my mother's bedroom, she was a beautiful woman.  Why would someone want to murder her, and leave my mother an orphan, who would then have to go live with other family members, only to be abused.  Why would her real father not take her? It must have been awful for my mother to lose the only person in her life.

In 1955, at only 15 years of age, my mother married my father just to get out of that abusive house she was living in.  I am not sure but I remember my mother telling me that she was told the case was 'sealed' and she could not find out who had murdered her own mother.  She worked for Olan Mills studio back when in Middletown, Ohio, retouching photos.

As the story unfolded, we would learn that my mother's real father was a very influential man, who did not want a child (my mother), and thus wanted my grandmother to get an abortion, so they would part ways, and she moved off for awhile.  My grandmother would bear his child, my mother, however keeping "Elaine" (my mother) a secret, until one day he would learn the truth;  that he was, in fact, the father of an illegitimate child.  My grandmother moved back to Middletown with my mother who was 5, thinking that perhaps by hat time people would forget perhaps the rumors that once were.  Could my mother's father have been married at the time he was having an affair with my grandmother, and unable to take in my mother as his own child?  Did his wife at the time, know about my grandmother and/or my mother?  Was this a love triangle, between my grandmother, her lover and his brother?

According to the revelation revealed, because my grandmother had rebuked him by having the child and not following through with an abortion (did they even do those back then?), there was supposedly a 'hit' ordered.  I think he did not want his reputation tarnished, maybe he was in politics, and perhaps some law enforcement was involved and it was hushed, silenced forever, sealed. My mother was born in 1940, so my grandmother was killed in the early 40s.  One thing is certain, it would have been considered taboo in those days to have a child out of wedlock.

However, my mothers attempts at finding out information surrounding her own mothers death failed back when. Times have changed, though, and there have been cold case files reopened.  I want to know what happened, and who or if anybody was punished for her murder? If my mother's father had his 'lover' (my grandmother) killed, its not a secret that his brother did the deed, as my grandmother told us this through the medium.

Do you know, bloggers, if there is anyway I could find out this information?  Unless I go to Middletown, looking up records that have been microfilmed, which would take weeks if not months, I really hate to buy into these records searches.  Does anybody have access to records search?  If so, please look up Aubrey Tutt, date of birth Feb 18, 1918; and let me know what you find.  This was my mother's real father, whom she never knew, but who upon sickness or in his soul searching, called her to meet with her, and she went to his funeral in February or March of 2004; only months later she herself would perish (my mother).  It was rumored that Aubrey had quite a fortune, perhaps his motive for killing off my grandmother?  Also I am not sure what was on my mother's birth certificate, Audrey Elaine Whitt Tutt...? This tragedy happened in Middletown, Ohio in the 40s (?45)... I figure considering woman found dead in apartment of a suspicious nature would have been front page news...I wonder what mystery would be uncovered from this time period.  I've not had much luck with online search, other than finding out that there is a Cold Case bureau in Butler County.

more meaningless babble...

...listening to a cool jazz mix now-- when all is quiet.

Earlier today, I got a IM from my boss telling me she was stopping by my house after work. I work from home, so immediately a red flag was thrown up. I figured she was taking off, firing me, or retiring herself...(well, not that bad, but I figured important enough for her to stop in) so here I was imagining the worse, but she just needed someone to talk to herself.  We go back a long ways.  We talked shit and shop...Its been rough lately for the both of us, work and life stuff.  After she left, I played a wii game or two with granddaughter and now that all is now quiet, I'm listening...unwinding...thinking about the small things…

"some days, the veneer of sanity is
but a frightfully thin coat of face,
not a mask...but a real live face.

it thinks no one will notice,

like the face of one extraordinary,
made beautiful by the hands of
an artist, pigmented blushes upon
undercoats of base hues, eyes
accented, lips highlighted, cheeks
rosy...but

beneath are thoughts of significant consequence.

I find solace, perceptible pleasure in small things,
but the small things are disappearing...and
my hands hurt too much to flip the hourglass.

time marches, does not stand still for even a moment.

and some days,
the mind just doesn't care anymore,
it knows it can wait out the clock while
it ticks away the hours of another day...

and passes through night,
with all it's dreams and such,
and it hopes that something,
someone, somewhere...

just might, today, make a difference...sometimes I just need a reminder that I do make a difference.

(a friend of mine wrote this beautiful prose, FW he called himself).  As I listen to my jazz I drift off in my own thoughts...
