Merry Christmas, my blogger friends~

 . i love this idea :)

its been a long time since I blogged with any regularity.  My interest in doing so waxes and wanes...depends on the season or perhaps the reason.  Nothing much changes around these parts.  I miss some of my old friends here .., Mr. C where are you?  Sherry, Scratchy...people who used to blog at Blogstream.  Those were fun times.  Time passes.  I have been thinking of childhood and Christmases past, always nice to reminisce.  Wishing you a very happy and joyous Christmas.

Merry Xmas Ya'll...

Beautiful Disaster:

This year Christmas just came up so fast, and it just doesn't seem like its Christmas at all.  Even the weather in eastern Ky is unseasonably warm.  Things are out of sorts right now.  Granddaughter is displaced out of the home, as is her brother still, and their parents flew off to California to escape their drug-infested life here so they could avoid condemnation by everybody whose life they tried to destroy.  Sad truly.  Hard to find the Joy this Christmas in this mess of a brood.

My younger daughter appears to be riding the bipolar crazy-assed train, being mean to her husband and not engaging in the holiday in any form.  They are struggling to make ends meet, and while I understand, I had hoped she could just find a little joy in the twinkle of her 15 month old's eyes, as this her first real Christmas.  But she has pretty much been the Debbie Downer today sucking the joy out of everbody. She wanted me to  jump her car and give her gas money so she could just run out and run the roads with her baby in the car ignoring everybody.  I feel sorry for her husband.  She is making his life miserable and all he ever does is try to love her.  Sad. At 23 and pregnant again she should be a little more mature.  That's what gift her Dad gave her, the gift of spoiling her her whole life.  I was the wicked mother who didn't put up with that crap.  Now when hard times hit she can'tcope.(update:  I called to find out how things were going and her mood seemed to have improved perhaps what I said finally got through to her, anyway I was happy to hear she is engaging and going to her in-laws this evening).
Personally for me, without having my grandson and granddaughters here and no personal love in my life, its rather quiet, but I rather like it quiet.  I don't need people to necessarily feel validated or fulfilled.  I won't let others impose and bring their drama to my table, especially grown adult children, and on that happy note, Merry Christmas eve to you and yours! :)

Happy Thanksgiving, ya'll

always rushing the season.  Heck! the Christmas parade was before Thanksgiving?? I just don't understand why.  The world has gone mad.

Hark! Who Goes Here?

50 Reasons To Drink The Benefits of Wheatgrass I feel so strongly about my 2 oz. of wheat grass, I want the world to know how amazing it is. Its been forever since I wrote anything of substance in this blog.  Life sure has a way of sucking the blogging life out of ya, doesn't it?  My day is a blur of work, taking care of kiddo, making dinner, drinking a green concoction 2x a day, falling aslseep at 10 (if I last that long) and starting over again the next day at 7 AM.  Life should be so boring and mundane but that's my life right now.

Tomorrow I have a mammo and an ultrasound due to a knot I found in my right breast.  Lets keep our fingers crossed its nothing to worry about.  I've been feeling rather tired and run down, the reason why the concoctions started.  Believe it or not, after only a few days I do feel better.  Nothing like a little wheatgrass, spiruluna and cacao powder greenish black cocktail.  Nasty to look at, not so bad to drink if you disguise it! hahaha...

In other news, Sister is getting married this weekend in Hamilton, Ohio, getting ready to go up Friday; however kiddo has cheerleader tryouts and this is IF Dan the Man gets my car fixed, nothing major, bearings in a pulley he thinks.  He's ordering the parts tomorrow and says he can get her done in time to travel on Friday.

So what's new in your neck of the woods?  Go on, I'm listening.....

the dream...

I make little hair flowers just like this at: www.LaBellaBridalAccessories.com :0)

It was as if two raindrops flowed together as they ran down the glass windowpane... in each a view reflecting the other, a pattern weaver passing it's shuttle between the threads of a silent longing, too far away to touch.

My latest love...

Tay, my granddaughter at 7 months of age! Her smiles melt your heart.  These photos were taken today at Central Park in Ashland :) ... she loves her mamaw!

Snow and more snow!

Wednesday night around 7 PM it started...rained all day and then the snow came. I woke up to 12 inches of snow on the ground! It was gorgeous but so heavy and wet, and one has to worry.  My boss  ended up with an uprooted tree that landed on her ceiling in the middle of the night.  Today the county she lives in without power.  Lots of people stranded, and on the news reports of the same all over to include that airplane at Laguardia airport nearing toppling into frigid water due to skidding.  I flew into Laguardia twice, both of which were a harrowing experience on such a short runway with your back wheels landing in water.  Yikes! so glad that ended well.

Anyway its March already! it time for this cold frigid weather and snow to be over! Winter is putting up its last fight...easy come and quickly will be gone.  Good riddance! :)

pic is Central Park about a block away from my house. its a lovely sight how the snow blankets the trees.  All you people in warmer climates don't get all envious! ha!

Mary Had A Little Dog?

This is so cute...

.
Meet "Pet" the orphaned lamb who thinks she's a dog. "Pet", from a very young age started following our oldest collie Dice around, believing that Dice was her mum. Pet would follow her everywhere, even sleeping in the same bed together.

I always found it hilarious when Pet would start jumping around with all our collies (Dice, Fly, Jess and Megan) so decided to start filming her one day.

I filmed this at my parents house in Lochbroom, near Ullapool in the Highlands of SCOTLAND.

"Pet" still has the freedom to go out into the hill and join the other sheep for the day but she enjoys nothing more than coming back into the kennels every night to sleep in her basket beside Dice.

V-Day is for Lovers? maybe...

Remember the love...always feed it...never forget it as sometimes goes away too quickly only to have you wait on its return.  This Valentine's Day if you are single, embrace the joy in your life...love will find its way back to you...

...and speaking of love, this quote by Robert James Waller, tells it all...

....“This is why I'm here on this planet, at this time, Francesca. Not to travel or make pictures, but to love you. I know that now. I have been falling from the rim of a great, high place, somewhere back in time, for many more years than I have lived in this life. And through all of those years, I have been falling toward you.”

And through all of those years, I have been falling toward you.” ― Robert James Waller

"oh how I loved your sigh,
it entered me by way of love,
and a part of it stayed in my
heart and a part of it devoured
my body and impassioned me
in lust...never to forget
our bodies entwined, and the
sound of passions that consumed
all my senses...no, I can never forget.

and now it is so much more
that these brief passages
carry with me...the infinite,
the eternity of who we were,
together...separate...polarized,
linked in a universe as vast as time,
yet as quick as lightning.
as lovers...
spirit passing through spirit,
love touching love,
words that breathe across a cheek
and evaporate into the stillness of being,
a vapor of song."

Aura, what's that?

Acc to this aura quiz online, the aura is an electromagnetic field that surrounds every creature that exists. A form of energy emanating from your body, your aura can tell a lot about you, from your personality to your innermost emotions and conflicts. So what is the color of your aura? Interstingly after taking this quiz online, (actually took it twice, same thing) it said my aura is white...white isn't a color...come on...I remember taking a different quiz and my aura was blue. Considering that white is the rarest aura, I doubt that my aura is a white one...

Anyway, here is what they said about the white aura. Perfect Balance: You are an innovator and a creator and your strongest qualities are more spiritual than physical. Your unique level of energy allows you to be more sensitive and intuitive than others. The white color can sometimes be pale and blank, so you need to pay attention when you are out of touch with the world. But even if you feel indifferent, remember that the white color is the combination of all the colors of the visible spectrum. And just like that, you represent balance, harmony and peace.

In reading about this a little further, a white aura reflects other energy. A pure state of light. Of course if its a dirty white it could mean illness...that would probably b the case..LOL...supposedly white often represents a new, not yet designated energy in the aura. Spiritual, etheric and non-physical qualities, transcendent, higher dimensions. Purity and truth; angelic qualities. I don't think that's me either.

There is an online article by a Reiiki Master who believes you can acdtually see your own aura by practice looking in a mirror. I'm not sure I'd want to try this after reading it. Sounds a little scary. I don't think I've ever seen an aura around anybody have you?

Stone Cold Thoughts on a Frosty Morn...

Many a winter mornig in my youth I would board the school bus only to find magnificent designs of frost stretching across the bus window pane obstructing my view of the monotonous route as the bus rolled onward.  Others seemed obliviuos to the beauty and would scrape at their window, but I loved the frosty view. They seemed to glow with the break of sunlight or car lights and the bitter cold outside.  I thought how miraculous that this beautiful fern-like imagery had been formed in the dark of night.  How could such beautiful forms be born during such a winter-cold night?

As I've gotten older I think about how life is kind of like that.  How we can remain in shadows, live in what often feels like a barren and cold winter for years, so unaware of the miracles being created in our own spirit.  It takes the sudden daylight, some unexpected surprise of life, to cause our gaze to look upon a simple, stunning growth that has happened quietly inside us.  Like frost designs on a cold winter's window, we see beyond life's fragmentation and realize we are not as lost as we might have thought we once were; that all the time we thought perhaps we were dead and barren like the cold of winter, beautiful things were born inside us.

How is everybody out in blogland?  Is there life out there?
