Suspicious Google Activity

In all these years, I have never once gotten any message from Google that there was suspicious activity on my Google accounts. I got this prompt when trying to login today to my accounts, and had to call a phone number to get a verification, and then make a new password. What is up with that, and did you guys have to do this too?

well, doodie, another day, another fixin'....

okay, so I call Microsoft yesterday evening.  I would recommend them, as they will work until they get 'er fixed.  This morning, I get an email from Microsoft Corporation about my computer dilemma.

My contact's name is Vishwa Singh with Microsoft Windows Technical Support.   He defined the problem as...

Problem Description:
Malware/ Virus Infection

and tried some troubleshooting...
  1. Tried starting Microsoft Antimalware Service.
  2. Tried Running Fixit.
  3. Tried Running third party virus scanner i.e. TDSKiller

Notice the word, tried...He could not fix it.  (actually I tried telling him I had already tried myself...)

So, we have to call the big poopers in on this one...LOL...

Yes, tomorrow we have another date between 4 and 5 p.m.

Hope everybody is having a good weekend.  See yuns.

Car-Less ... again...Nightmare on Montgomery...

this car looks exactly like mine
Did I happen to mention that nearly two weeks on a Friday I became car-less again?

Yes, the day my 19 year old got her license, she took my car on a rendezvous out of town, not realizing that the motor would blow up yet again.  She was in my car the first time, and on that occasion she had run it dry of every fluid known to a keep a car engine running, and blew my motor up. This time, however, the car had fluids, the motor just locked up.

She was pretty scared, on an interstate miles away from home, when in fact, she had neglected to tell me she was going anywhere. I had assumed she got delayed in getting back home, obviously making excuses to me.  I had no idea she was out of town with my car.  She obviously had other plans to celebrate her getting her driver's license.

I was looking for cars in the area, when I typed in my car's make and model, and this car (pictured above) came up.  This car was up for sale and the highest offer was 4200.00 bucks, with only 62,000 miles on it. Unbelievable.  I would love to have it, but it was in Chicago! It was already sold by the time I found it.  Worth every penny of it with that low a mileage, and the shape it was in.  Makes ya sick.

My 19 year old apologized all over herself for not being where she was supposed to be, however in reality, at any time a used motor can and will blow, just glad she was okay and did not get hurt herself or hurt somebody else.  It scared her pretty bad, so now, maybe she will be a little cautious when out and about in a vehicle.

What have I done for a car?  Absolutely without, relying on a ride back and forths to the grocery.  Should I buy another car? No, I looked at car options out there.  I seriously cannot afford payments, a rise in insurance because of having to carry full coverage on a loan, no thanks.   I will throw a thousand bucks in it again and have another motor put in it.  Life of a car is no guarantee, but having a new car is not a necessity.  I love my car.  I don't care if it is a 1997 Olds and has tons of thousands of miles on it.  Its still cheaper than buying a car out there.  Finding a good mechanic to keep it running is the big issue here, one you can trust.  One that cares that precious cargo is being hauled around in it.

Hope everybody is having a good week.  Me? Mine is busy and stressful as always.  Tomorrow I have to get my taxes done, so I can plan accordingly to pay off my mechanic.  Any donations will be gladly accepted.  Just throw me an email...LOL

Another Blow

Well, no sooner do I think things will look up than something else tears it down again. Say today for instance. Teen was told last week that she had to get up three days this week, today, tomorrow and Thursday for state testing at her high school. She told me last night that her not getting out of the car when I took her to school on several occasions (which has been all year remember she is under homebound instruction; either that or it was obvious truancy and then detention) was just childish and stupid, and since she is working part-time now and has more responsibility that was not going to happen. Well, she neglected to get ready to go, despite having plenty of time to do it in, which stressed me out because God knows we've been through this countless times.

She comes down pretending to be ready sarcastically wearing a tank top and sloppy housepants and we proceed to get into the car, with her telling me that she wasn't going to get out of the car anyway once we got out there, well shit hit the fan for me at that point. I ordered her back into the house to get a jacket or change, and realizing she wasn't doing this, I went up to her bedroom, had words with her angrily I might add. I wanted her to know that I meant business. I was so upset that I slide everything off her mantle and onto the floor, and with it breaking three glasses with whatever was in them. Her room is a total pigsty, she leaves food in bowls up there for a week at a time.

She goes to pushing me out of her room. I try to clean up the mess. We continue the verbage, and at some point results in her striking me physically with her closed fist about four times on my left arm/forearm. I leave the room. She comes downstairs and picks up the phone and said she called 9-1-1 while I am still trying to clean the mess up, and I tell her to go ahead, that mothers and daughters having disputes all the time, and I'll show the officer my already starting to bruise arm when he get here. Not to mention through all this madness I am working 8 hours or trying to, and don't get done due to the delays I am having to go through.

After I finish work, I just take off in the car. I need to blow off some steam, have a conversation to air my frustration with a friend or I'm going to just "lose it" myself. She laid her ass in the bed all day in her damned room, while I had to work 8 hours, and sit and stew about it all day long, and I wonder if tomorrow is going to be the same damn way. I am still pissed and it's nearly 10 p.m. Good thing she has counseling tomorrow afternoon, because I am ready to blow.

The Weekly News ...

PhotobucketBoth my car and TV line needed repair this week! The brakes went out on my car Monday and it sat there until yesterday when the guy picked it up, repaired the brake line, and returned it to me all fixed and the air conditioner working too. This guy came recommended to me by my daughter's homebound instructor, Frank. What a great mechanic find and for only $45 bucks! I'm happy.

As far as the television, obviously my line got whacked by mistake when a neighbor moved out, go figure! so while he was here I asked him why all my upper channels were fuzzy and the rest were not. He checked all the lines really well and tested it. He told me that when the tuner is going out on a television the upper channels will lose their clarity and that will happen but that running it through my DVD player would solve this issue, and it did!

I've had my hero limit this week, what more can I say?

In other news, I learned last night that my girlfriend's estranged boyfriend was found dead by his son in his house on Tuesday. I can't say she is too upset about it as she stands to gain a substantial 'inheritance' even though he has a grown son and grandson. There was no great romance here, and they were considered friends more than anything. Mostly Susie griped to me about how little he did for her. Even still, she wasn't in love with the man, and only stayed around because she had convinced him that she did love him, and she knew she stood to gain whatever money he had when he passed away. She'll take the money and run.

The Day After Christmas ... and all thru the house

not a creature was stirring till around 11 ish! We both slept in. We had an appointment at her counselor's office at 1:30 ish, which turned out fairly well. I do have an insurance issue I am going to have to address though it seems.

Yesterday, Christmas Day, my daughter and I did not even leave the house, and there were no visitors to the residence. She and I moped around biggest part of the day. I think she was bummed that she got only one present from me and there was nothing to open Christmas Day morning. We opted to ice cream at some point but couldn't find nary a restaurant open. I let her drive a little, and I really wanted us to see a movie together but to no avail. She is on her period and just did not feel well. Ah, yes periods...they are a distant memory for me. Thank Goodness, I don't miss them at all!

Today, instead of going to the movies with mom, she and her boyfriend went to the movies, and they are up in her room each with their laptops at this time! and here I am down here on mine. I talked to David for a bit today online. I didn't tell him about my eldest daughter and I getting into it on Christmas Eve. It's embarrassing to say the least. I haven't heard from any of them, not even the in-laws. I suppose if she didn't come home then they would have called here or something, so I assume she'll just saunter up to the door here in a few days and act like everything is just normal again, like she usually does. I'm sure she won't even remember any of it, or the hateful words she spoke. That's the reality of psychoticness? I don't know what else to call it. Perhaps her hepatitis C has affected her brain some way, I don't know.

I am just glad that it is over. It wasn't much of a Christmas, unfortunately getting into a knock down drag out Christmas Eve and it sure brought a lot of heartache for my youngest daughter and myself. It's hard to see someone you love so disturbed emotionally enough to want to steal off you. It's not like I don't try to help her...anyway that's a whole other story, or rant, and I might cry again, so let's not go there.

signed me couchless in Kentucky as well. Today, my friend brought me a couch saying it was a nice couch, better than the one I had, but come to find out it was dirty and stunk to high heaven! However, we didn't know how bad till it was in here for a couple of hours and the cat of the house, Sir Fuzzy, was curiously sniffing at it, OMGosh. With the other couch gone which we could not get back and why would we want it back! (it was propped up on bricks!) I know it's hilarious what a gal has to do! So when daughter's boyfriend came by him and I hauled it to the alley hoping it will just disappear! good riddance to stinky rubbish!

yep, I'm couchless and loveless. poor pitiful me.

Interruptions and More Interruptions ...

My head hurts.

My heart hurts.

My bank account is dented.

There is always some drama going on around here.  My 16 year old has a new boyfriend and they are up in her room, watching TV, and being quiet because I was working, but maybe a little too quiet if you know what I mean.  I worry.  I think my daughter and I might need to talk about appropriateness here, as I am just not comfortable with this at all.

So they're up there and I'm down here working and then a call comes in from that lawyer who supposedly is going to stop the child support, and in walks Griszelda Mess doing her drama routine wanting $50 more bucks, like I got it to spare.  She is adamant and makes a comment hoping the house will burn down with that cigarette she threw down inside the house?? I think I'm going to lose it on top of everything else.

I want to scream!!!!

My lawyer is using my ex's lawyer's (whose in jail) cell phone? Geeze isn't that convenient? and I even called him back with the information, of course not realizing it was my ex's attorney's phone.  Anyway it's debatable whether or not I'll get that money back pronto without having to file a motion to get it.

Nothing like a little interference to mess up your day, so I had to work a little over, cancel an appointment this afternoon at 4! Oh yeah, did I tellya I volunteered to work 4 hours tomorrow to help out? Yeah, I don't why I bothered since my bonus this year was pathetic.

Hotter Than A Two-Dollar Pistol ...

Yes, there is nothing like opening up your car door to get a furnace blast of 1000 degree heat bottled up for hours on end. Okay a slight exaggeration, but you get my drift.

I imagine one of these days my car windshield is just going to burst sitting out there, and I'm going to hear it from inside the house. Most days my black car with black leather interior sits directly in the sun, and trying to even touch the car door well requires you to do so gingerly. Even though I try to keep a window cracked on hot humid days sometimes I fail to do.

My air conditioner has not been working this season so far, so when it is unbearably humid I just avoid getting in that car and running errands unless its dark. Yep your hotpants get burnt! Yesterday, I had someone check the compressor ... well, there was no pressure on the cannister valve, obviously I know it needs freon and probably has a leak, but the compressor was not kicking in, so ... one would surmise that you buy a can on freon or two put 'er in and hope for the best; and hopefully that will create a reason for the compressor to kick on?

Gee I sure hope so, cause driving along in my automobile is not happening on 90+ days until she gets some freon in her pipes. I was going to go this evening to the automotive store to get the freon but I was just way too tired. Why do it today when I put it off till tomorrow, right? Besides temptation would take me in the direction of Krogers for a trip down the pastry aisle for sweetening, yes I have a craving some dark chocolate something, or perhaps some lemon something, and wouldn't you know it? There is not one darn thing in the house (of course I know me).

Tell me, do you guys ever get cravings for one particular thing to eat? and would you drive out to get it if the feeling was so overpowering for you to have it? Luckily I had spinach in the house.

I love my greens, too~! fish n greens, fish n greens. bock~! well, I don't how to make a fish sound?

The Big Black Farting Monster

Do you guys remember what at my house farts, well, besides myself of course? Laffing** Isn't that more information than you needed to know! So ... *insert a little blush here*

no, not me, but my big black farting monster would be my refrigerator. Every once in awhile it just rips a big one! I don't know why it does this, well today ... after I went to the store I was putting groceries away, and I was getting ready to make me a bologna sandwich when I reached for the mustard and it was rather liquidy, more so than I remember it being, and then I happen to notice it wasn't even cold, and of course the milk jug wasn't very cold either!

Panic time!!!! A refrigerator on the blink? OMG! I can't afford a new refrigerator! This is a maytag side by side, big black honker that is 36 inches deep; it's huge! I acquired this refrigerator from my ex as a free gift to me, which he purchased secondhand from somebody who was remodeling their kitchen!

well, well, well, isn't that lovely? my big black farting refrigerator is going to bite the dust ... hmmmmmm, or is it?

I happen to recall at one point today finding my refrigerator door ajar, and not shut all the way, which I immediately remedied. How long was it ajar? I'm not sure. I can't remember back that far~! LOL ...

so now I am retracing my steps ... hmmm, for lunch at 11 today I fixed some eggs, so I had to undoubtedly get them out of the refrigerator, so one would assume that given the door was ajar from say 11 p.m. until 4 when I finished working ... no,no no, that's not right because when I came home from the grocery at approximately 5:30ish I did not find the refrigerator door ajar! ...

okay now being the Sherlock Holmes I am, I would have to surmise that (if I could remember the last time before that I was in the refrigerator) I might have a clue as to how long the door had been ajar! Oh my word! What frickin use it is to know that information now anyway?

all I know is that at 5:30ish going on 6, I happen to notice that most things in my refrigerator were not that cold! so what does a single gal do? She calls her gardener of course, who was butt naked out of the shower standing there dripping (ok, ok, he said he was still the shower?)answering the phone only to find me on the other end asking him if he knows anything about refrigerators? or knows someone who might? Of course he was very polite dripping wet, so I let him go back to his shower!

I figured he would call me back when he was done, but what to my wondering eyes should appear? but him at my door 30 minutes later! so I have to rush to find a shirt to put on, don't ask, the house was hot where I didn't have the air conditioner on ... so I'm scrambling for a shirt hollering hold on, I'll be right there, after I get off the phone and throw it on!

Long story short, *insert laff here huh* I don't know that my big black farting monster will get cold or not; it is throwing cold air out to the freezer?? I guess 24 hours will tell the tale!

it's a wait and see thing now. Say a prayer for my monster will ya? Otherwise I'll be asking for donations tomorrow! Make checks payable to the poor appalachian female fund!

(here are the comments to this post, taken off another blogsite where the post originated from; yep, I canned that blog, too! I told you I needed to consolidate!)

Comments:

My deepest sympathies, Miss B. It usually falls to me to be the doomsayer, while Mom insists that I'm being alarmist. However, may I note that two of our last three fridges were indeed at their last gasp. The first time she believed me when a package of meat turned green overnight; the second time my brother and BIL told her, after having spent a couple or three hours in the house, that the fridge was fried, because it ran constantly the whole time they were here.

Would she listen to me now if it were to go kaput? Nope. I'm an alarmist.

OK...take a deep breath, sit down, breath out.....good now that we got this far a tip.....before you spend bucks for a new side by side.....

get some help..and take everything out of it...everything...freezer side also....Now with help...unplug it and turn it upside down for 15 minutes....then put it back and plug it in....

don't laugh .... it works..... something to do with the circulation of the coolant with runs in tubes in the sides and the back of the thing....also helps the compressor somehow do something good......

who loves you babe....

Bella,

My advice is to start saving your money. Despite your fervent desire to keep your present refrigerator, there is a point where it's going to fart and die.

Maybe you need to feed it some Alka-Seltzer? Maybe all it needs is to blow a great big one and it will feel all better. I hope everything turns out okay I know how costly they can be.

Didja give your 'fridge some Gas-X? Maybe it had too much backed up & needed a huge "release". Too much gas backing up can kill you, ya know?
Hopefully, your problem is fixed. On a good note, you DID get to see your freshly showered gardner! WOOT!

Bella, this just happened to me, no not a farting fridge, but a warm one. It was because something sticky got on the seal and it stopped sealing and actually pulled out and made it unsealable, that is, until I washed the sticky rubber seal and pushed it back in to the door and finally the delightful sound of a working, sealing fridge began humming, or was it farting??
luv ya,
n.

Do you have an idea what the brown poo goo is, Chanda? I ain't sticking my hands in that! *at this instant I went in and pulled the drawer out to look* ...

and what did I find? nothing, there ain't no plug down there under that drawer! Can we surmise that since I cannot see the goo it is still there somewhere causing a plug up?

When I take off the front vent cover I see a little hose and a pan so I suppose my goo goes there? and uh ... perhaps I have to roto rooter that hose thingy?

heavens to mergatroids!

where's that fat damn Maytag repairman when you need him?

My impressions of a fat Maytag man are pretty poor - but what I do know is yes, that hose can get plugged. By the poo goo? That I am unsure of.

I would gander, however, the poo goo is lurking somewheres in there
