Baby, You Are ...

Some days a long distance relationship is so hard to deal with, and the only relief is to hear his voice at the end of it. Today has been a really long day for me. Listening to music soothes me, especially a nice jazz instrument of one of my favorites....and playing through my headset at this moment ..."when I get this feeling, I want ... "

my sunny sky,
my favorite high,
my sweetest gift,
my emotional lift,
my shining light,
my day and night,
my heart healer,
my anger chiller,
my pain reliever,
my spring fever.
my energizer,
my appetizer,
my morning sun,
my evening fun,
my dancing partner,
my heart's gardener,
my source of laughter, my everafter.
my gem so rare,
my answered prayer,
my heart and soul,
my life made whole.
my best chance ~ my last dance,
my best friend till the end.

Where O' where are you tonight, baby? The last time I talked to him was days ago. I'm getting a little worried. Maybe if I 'will him' to call me, it will happen. Most times we are on the save frequency telepathically; it's happened most times than not. Perhaps that explains this gut feeling, I just can't shake. Why don't I just call him? I can't, I won't, it's complicated...I'll wait a few more days, then maybe...

The Bike Trek Update ...

Days ridden: 16
Rest Days: 2
Miles traveled so far: 912
Remaining miles: 2,888
Remaining riding days: 44
Hills climbed: too many

So far as I can tell, he left from his starting point in Seattle, traveling by way of Woodinville, Skykomish, Leavenworth/Chelan, Waterville/Douglas, Wilbur/Lincoln, Washington entering the great state of Idaho at Athol/Kootenai, traveling on through Clark Fork/Bonner, and finally into Montana, arriving at Libby/Lincoln/Eureka, Whitefish, Lake McDonald, Flathead, (yep still Montana) and into Rising Sun, Glacier, Valier, Pondera, Choteau, Teton, and into Great Falls, which I think is where he is presently!

He swears up and down that this is God's country, and absolutely breathtaking and picturesque! especially coming down the mountains in Washington State, and into Farragut Lake State Park in Northern Idaho.  He says he has over 600 pictures already if not more of the scenery and of landmarks so he can blog the journey for everybody on this trip. It's amazing to me and his knees are still holding out. There are a couple of part-time riders who are only riding a certain trek of it, but several have done this more than once especially the people who host it, and who in fact, do ride it. There is a truck who follows them carrying all their necessary supplies such as air mattresses, tents if needed, and just general supplies they would need.

I think there are 16 riders in all, and they have stayed in churches and at university halls and even a few cabins and tents.  On their rest days, when they don't ride they are free to explore the city they are in, get their own hotel room, and just enjoy themselves wherever they are.  He said while in Northern Idaho, a bear got into the truck and tore up his computer, a tall tale! I told him he just didn't want to update the trek (which is still private at this point), until he releases it for public viewing,  and while this could have been true about the bear in Northern Idaho, it was not! big fibber! LOL ... but it was true that his computer was broken and needed a part which did arrive yesterday and he fixed it.  YAY! If he hadn't called Saturday I might have been a little worried that the bear got him too! So far there have been no incidents or accidents for anybody involved, and they are all having a great time!  He sounds so happy and I couldn't be happier for him.

Well, he's got 44 days and counting down till he gets to the East Coast! I remember when we were counting down 44 days for the trip to start, seems like yesterday but I'm sure it doesn't to him!

A Psychic Detour ...

Sometimes things happen that are so dejavu in a way that's downright scary. Ever be thinking about something only to have it happen? or dream it the night before and see it unfold the next day? or just get that feeling you were there before, or had that particular conversation in that particular scenario? I remember one time in high school having a dream about some girl who walked into class made up like a clown, and I thought how strange, but the next day it happened! no kidding, it was a pep rally at school that day.

I tell you it is a little unnerving to say the least. As I had posted on another blog, there are times in this house in which I am visited by someone. I can't see them, but I feel them, and often I smell their cigarette smoke and even heard snoring, an exhale rhythmic breathing. I even had somebody wake me up from a sleep by raking their hand down my neck to my shoulder. There was nobody there when I opened my startled eyes. I do believe there are things that happen which one cannot explain. I never considered myself psychic but I am a good feeler. My teenager told me she thought I could read minds or something to that effect, cause one time we were on the phone, and I said ... did you enjoy the mashed potatoes and meatloaf? without even realizing that was what she had for dinner and I had no way of really knowing this; which really surprised both of us! I just laughed and said lucky guess, ha! and took the opportunity to tell her that yeah, and I would know if she were trying to pull a fast one, too! LOL

Speaking of strange ESP kinda moments, today at 4:48 I was online, leaving comments here and there at Blogstream, listening to music, and I went to check out my boyfriend's bike blog and leave him a message, telling him I was thinking about him, yada yada, and where was he? how was meeting the group of bikers? and all that stuff. I hadn't even gotten up from the chair when the phone rang with his number on the caller ID, and I about jumped out of my skin! I am always amazed at how in tune we are with what each other is feeling, it's very strange, even at a distance of 3,750 and some odd miles! I asked him if he felt me or what? because I had just left him a message on his site, which he has been unable to access due to a connectivity issue.

Coincidence? This has happened more times than not, this telepathic thing, surprising both of us. Well, if it had only happened this once I could say yes, but this has happened a lot. I just hope his bike trip is everything he hopes it to be and there are no complications or mishaps. Tonight, they are camping at a church, so he's probably getting ready to sack out and sleep, as he has a long day of biking tomorrow.

Cycling Across Country

Probably as the sun comes up over the horizon, my “lifestyle cyclist” aka undercover lover will start his 3,800 mile trek from the west coast back to the east.  He flew out Thursday morning, and is supposed to start tomorrow.  He was so looking forward to this trip away.

Cycling of course is the perfect combination of transportation, environmental stewardship, and good health isn't it? and considering the price of fuel more of us are going to be forced into it! bad knees or not!

While he is in excellent physical health, he does have one knee that acts up, and hopefully that will not become a major issue for him on this journey.  I half expected him to call before now, but I have heard nothing...nada...I know I am not at the top of his call list considering...and I try not to worry as he is traveling with a group of other bikers.

He is blogging his journey on a biker site and put a ready to go picture wearing his 'Across the US' bike jersey he designed and had made especially for this trip.    His male girlfriend "J" said he looked like a cross between Captain America and Willie Nelson! too funny that J ~! and in fact he is right, but he shaved that full beard off and back to the goatee which totally suits him.
