Friday 13th?

Don't be surprised! It could be a lucky day, right?!

Never know what tomorrow brings, and some people are superstitious about Friday 13th. This will be the 3rd time we have had a Friday 13th fall this year I believe. Its weird how it comes 3x in one year and only once last year and next year.

I am hoping that tomorrow is a lucky day for me, and those boys actually get my car fixed and returned back to me!

As for work, I've just been a little tired, haven't felt good this week, but I'll bounce back. No really good QA quirks except today I was reading this report, and read, "He enjoys teaching Marshall Arts"...wait, my eyes kept reading but my brain wouldn't wrap itself around that "marshall" ... that ain't right!

Well, I guess I'll take my "Marshall Arts" skills out there and kick butt if I don't get my car here soon! I have been way too patient for way too long. I called that guy today, I told him to give me a date that he will absolutely have my car done at the very latest. He promised me coming Wednesday and hoped to get it to me before that. I hate feeling jerked around. Next time I call out there he is going to know that I know people in 'low places' and/or 'high places' too, and I'm not afraid to use 'em.

It just dawned on me today that tomorrow is Friday the 13th. I hope it's a good day for you and that you get your car back. It really does suck to be without your car doesn't it?

Know what you mean about the car--I was without mine for nearly six weeks once and they only even looked at it to see what was wrong the day before they fixed it--Hope it does turn out to be a good Fri. the 13th for ya! <3

Hey Bella, your car story would be a good one for the Tappet Brothers, Click and Clack on NPR's Car Talk. Look them up online and tell them your problem, who knows, you could be on national radio.

Hi Bella!So how was your day?Nothing bad happened to me yesterday but I had some really shitty ones before,like when I used to work in pubs,coffee machine will break down,costumers fight ect..all day,only crap I remember.But never had a real lucky one though.Hope all is well with you.If you didn't get the chance to have a great friday,hope you will have a nice weekend!

loved the Marshall Arts! that's one of the things about speech recognition; it hears things like this but can't distinguish things to make sense. yesterday I laughed because it picked up "no hepatosplenomegaly" as "no pets or splenomegaly". I guess my job is secure as an editor LOL

I do hope one day you get your car back in one piece and working correctly and safely

all in a day's work

hi there. being a Quality Analyst for a medical transcription company doesn't have too many perks except an occasional ROFLMAO at some typos or Speech Recognition (SR) boo-boos I find on nearly a daily basis...

SR Drafted: "The patient is currently single and is in a sedating relationship."

Dictated: The patient is currently single and is in a dating relationship. (I need one of those!) :)

MT typed that this female patient is vulvar aggressive. (and you thought PMS was bad...LOL!) Yep even you can be a vulvar aggressive female, if you're a female that is! haha! (actually dictated as verbal aggression)

The Pt will need to have cereal H&Hs...haha! should be serial H&Hs (hemoglobin and hematocrits)

He spoke in cartoon voices in an attempt to be humerus.

"The patient is in for followup of her solitary right kitty" ...WTF?

"The patient was playing with an eye pad during therapy."

skitsofrenic...? wow! now here's a good speller!

he had disheveled snow ...dictated as he had to shovel snow

The patient has a pet grandog named Porky... dictated as "groundhog" hahaha!! cracked me up!

This gentleman continues to do a support job with regards to using CPAP. ...dictated as superb job!

The patient is allergic to poison IV. hahaha!

"The patient reports she can barely hold onto her steering will."

We did a 24-hour tracking of eyes and nose. Dictated as...We did a 24-hour tracking of I&Os.

Once the strain gets going, he can urinate fairly well. Dictated as...Once the stream gets going, he can urinate fairly well.

"The patient works as a valley parker at The Cancer Center."

When patient was asked who Marie Curie was, "I think she's a famous hooker!"

The patient had a creme-filled filter placed!
(should have been a Greenfield filter, done for clots, circulation issues).

We did recheck a basic embolic pain yesterday, and this does reveal slight elevation in the creatinine to 1.4. *should be a basic metabolic panel*

She has a hobby of doing prostitute? say what? the doctor dictated She has a hobby of doing cross-stitching...LOL...that's pretty far out!

...Patient was alert and unresponsive.

...Exam of genitalia reveals that he is circus sized. (I don't care who ya are, that's funny!)

...Examination reveals a well-developed male lying in bed with his family in no distress.

...I saw your patient today, who is still under our car for physical therapy.

...While in the emergency room, she was examined, X-rated and sent home.

...She is numb from her toes down. (surely you don't have to think about this one!)

...The lab test indicated abnormal lover function.

...Rectal exam revealed a normal size thyroid.

...When she fainted, her eyes rolled around the room.

...Discharge status: Alive but without permission.

with rest and paint thinners he states he is feeling better...LOL...since when does paint thinners sound like pain killers? ha! I suppose if you huff enough paint thinner you might feel better!

Can somebody tell me what a splenic fracture is? good gravy Mabel!
