Underwear That's Fun To Wear...

So, bloggers... there I was at Taco Bell reading the taco sauce packets waiting on the order to come up, and also for BellaRose to get her drink filled up when I dropped a packet on the floor and when I bent down to pick it up, I happen to notice something sticking out of my left pant leg. I was wearing capris which are a little tapered in at the knee, and peeking out were a pair of my bikini underwear!

My first thought was just play it cool, you don't have a purse with you, no real pockets to speak of, so fishing them out and throwing them into a purse or pocket quickly without notice was totally out of the question! I have to say the thought crossed my mind to go ahead and pull those babies out, and make some wisecrack comment like, "Damn! I wondered where those panties have been hiding!..." and probably would have blurted something out to that effect had they fallen to the floor or were hanging out worse than they were.

In fact, just today I was bitching about my dwindling underwear collection between these 2 adult girls I have; nothing is sacred you know...and underwear that sticks to the inside of your clothing and wants to make its debut in public dangling from your capris pant leg...priceless!

so whats a resourceful girl gonna do in this situation? well stuff those darn panties back up in that capri pants leg and walk the hell outta there, and quickly! Come on BellaRose, do you really need a lid for that soda? Mamaw needs to go, now!  When we got to the car, I pulled the panties out from my pants leg and we laughed and laughed sitting there in the car.

She looks at me and says, "Mamaw, you do the funniest stuff..." Remember that day..sssshhhh,...lets say no more! and speaking of funny, if you haven't read some of the lines written on the sauce packets in Taco Bell, you should...they're hilarious! stuff like "When I grow up, I wanta be a bottle ... or do I know you from somewhere...will work for food...or hey ...is that your underwear sticking out your pant leg?...LOL...stupid stuff like that" ...so rush right out to your local Taco Bell and sashay up the sauces and read a few, you'll get a chuckle, and hopefully your underwear will not rear its ugly head!.. tell 'em Bella sent ya!

Arthur-itis...

My right mouse hand is stiff and I can hardly bend my finger joints.  I believe old 'Arthur' has come to visit. I'm also having more musculoskeletal discomfort in my shoulders and neck area.  I think a trip in to the doc to get a little blood work done might be in order; also probably need to check my vitamin B levels.

At least I don't have to type for 8 hours a day, that was hard to do.  I would have burning stinging palms, so red they looked as if they had been smacked by somebody.  I also have Raynaud's in the winter, the tips turn white and blue, and stay numb.  I know I'm immunocompromised with having hypothyroidism, and no intrinsic factor in my stomach to store vitamin B12 in my body.  Probably nothing a good shot of B12 couldn't fix on a weekly basis for a month or two.

Getting back to work today after vacation literally wore me out.  I need a sponsor so I can quit this day job.  Any takers?

Tumblr

There are a lot of us old Blogstream bloggers at Tumblr too, and I had a website there, not sure what I was going to do with it.  I want to make this site more of a collection of stuff that I like, pics I find online that are fascinating to include uploading personal family pics, poems and quotes I like, etc...

I put up some pictures of the wedding in Gatlinburg.

A New and Interesting Place...

My Three Shrinks is a podcast by three psychiatrists, each with a different perspective. Their blog is called "Shrink Rap."

Dinah is a private practice psychiatrist who does psychotherapy.

ClinkShrink is a forensic psychiatrist who practices in a correctional setting.

Roy is a consultation-liaison psychiatrist who practices in a general hospital doing consults on medically-admitted patients and also in the emergency department.

The podcast comes out as often as we can do them, which is usually somewhere between weekly and monthly. We do try to have specific topics, but are pretty free-wheeling, even rambling, as we discuss topics related to psychiatry, medicine, health care, practice issues, ethics, weather, bad hair, ducks, etc. We tend to be on the sarcastic and humorous side, and we spout bad puns for sport. If you are looking for something very serious, try the green journal's podcast, instead.

The above info was taken off the website.  I have checked out a few podcasts.  They are informative, have a quick wit, and talk about everything psyche and then some.  To get to My Three Shrinks Podcast listings, click here.

“How far you go in life depends on your being tender
with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the
striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your
life you will have been all of these.”

- George Washington Carver

I want what is best for Isabella and have her succeed in life.  I try to keep it in my mind at all times that Isabella has been through a lot already in her 9 years.  It seems like here lately though, since her mother has been back in her life, she has been more out of sorts, screaming and fighting at me over attempts at disciplining her, or when she doesn't get her way over something, even to the point of her physically hitting me.  Her mother has interfered in my attempts at disciplining Isabella, not seeing how she 'babies Isabella" because she was not around for a while, and its a honeymoon period between the two of them right now.  She will call her mom and tell her I'm mean to her or I hit her, even when she leaves me no choice but to have to physically restrain her from destroying property or throwing things around.  Attempts to physically spank her end up causing her to be more out of control. Its not just physical, its the verbage too.  She just keeps ranting, spewing out hateful stuff, I'm at my wits end and ready to seek professional help for her.  She needs to learn healthy ways of dealing with anger, and she has to learn to deal with being told 'no' and accepting the consequences for her bad behavior.

I've also had to take a long look at the behaviors exhibited between her mother and myself.  I do think my daughter has influenced Isabella telling her she is going to get her back soon, and they are going to live in some fantasy world, with her "daddy" home from jail, etc...also making the statement "all I want is my son back," which implies to Isabella that she is not as important as her "brother" is to her mommy.  I figure there is a strong correlation here, the love/hate relationship between Isabella and her mother, and my love/hate relationship with my grown daughter (Isabella's mother).  We do not get along that well, despite her being clean and off drugs presently.  While Isabella is a child who takes things to heart, her pain started a long time ago, and her mother cannot acknowledge this.  Truth is my grown daughter does make a difference between her two children.  Her mother and I have argued and fussed, as mothers/daughters often do, and unfortunately Isabella has heard and seen too much of this kind of stuff.  There is no excuse for adults behaving badly in front of children but the reality is, it does happen, even at my best efforts to thwart it off.  God knows Isabella has lived through enough of that stuff when she lived with her mother/father and in-laws.  On more than one occasion, I have asked my grown daughter to leave my residence due to her out of control verbiage directed at me.  Like her own mother's lack of control, once Isabella starts spiraling out of control, she cannot seem to sidestep it.  It appears that boundaries are being crossed and I feel overwhelmed sometimes in this "tag team" of irrational behaviors.

Isabella is not a child you can tell "go to your room" and she just picks up and goes to her room.  She will defy you, look for ways to get back at you, or physically hit you or throw things around, threaten to tear stuff up; then after that's done and she has exhausted those attempts, she asks that any punishments be removed once she is acting okay, taking no responsibility for her actions when out of control.  Its a contest of wills around here, and right now I feel as though I'm losing.

it's alive!

Hey gang! I'm back...like a nightmare! hahaha!

I borrowed a windows XP pro disk off a girl at work who has XP because I could not find mine (where does this stuff hide?), and finally got everything loaded back on this puter.  I have an external drive, which was updated only occasionally, so I didn't lose everything, just some things, and some things I might not miss!

Good thing is, its like having a newborn...I've got plenty of space to mess up! Worst is having to go through all the Windows updates and getting a security system and things back on here.  After my security its loading all my music back on here, via I-Tunes...

and could there be another hitch? Yeah, just when you think its safe and all your good stuff has been downloaded, no viruses lurking in dark corners, you have absolutely NO sound anywhere.  Gawd!!!!!! Where's the driver? I installed a Dell disk into an HP and obviously the drivers are different...luckily today I called Microsoft back (Thursday morning) and this dude fixed it! ha! so not only do I have sound, I have lots of MB space.  This is a good thing..Just try to wipe this smile off my face!

so, what did I miss?

holey moley!!! a ghost ship?

not again...damnittttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

while I was upstairs resting, I guess Isabella decided to play a game on my PC, which ended up causing a Trojan, which ended up wiping out my hard drive.  This is the first time I've had to deal with this...

My computer is a ghost!  Help!  If anybody has some serious advice, or a Mr. FixIt Solution, leave me a message. I can get to my email from this other work puter.  I am going to try to hit F10 to restore but I'm not sure that will work.  Like I said, if you can offer good advice, call me.

I cannot find any of my programs, nothing, no word documents, pictures, absolutely nothing.  This is craziness.

I guess I'll be back eventually...if I don't miss me, k?

starting tonight...its Vacation time for me!

if I haven't been around much, its work, work, work and then some other drama pops up...oldest daughter got a job, and also got an apartment a few days ago, so its helping her get organized, and I have to get things done and organized for the trip this weekend to Gatlinburg.  You remember, my son is getting married, and of course Mother of the Groom has to be there.  When I get back in town, its quiet time at home, getting some much needed R&R...doing nothing if I don't want to.  However, Missy BellaRose has some acting classes at the local Paramount Arts Center scheduled this coming week.  This is right up her drama-queen alley.

well, how is Blogdom, bloggers?  What did I miss?  Got any news?

Oh  The best line of the week folks, if you didn't hear it yourself...was bellowed out on a cooking show...giving a contestant, who was a farmer and who prided himself on growing and harvesting his own vegetables while putting none of those into a dish he made, an answer as to if he would be passing onto the next round of contenders for the title of Best Chef and of course a shot at 50,000 bucks or whatever the prize was...

as quoted by the Hell's Kitchen famous chef, Gordon Ramsey ...

E-I-E-I-.Nooooo!

 Cracked me up totally!
