pissed off...
I just love getting emails on any report that the client finds errors on that came through my QA hub. While I pride myself on doing an excellent job for what I have to deal with and process in day just to keep my head above water at 3 1/2 cents a line, there is occasionally stuff that will slip through me. Granted, not too often, and if it does its usually on a file that did not require a full proof.
One such file in particular was sent to me email saying there was critical error on it (IV dosing per hour)...HOWEVER...I did not proof this report content. Instructions dictate that this particular location does not require a full proof or the MT does not require a full proof (voice to text) ...
All I was responsible for was to fill any blanks in, check demographics (pt name and shit) and location, and ship it on. I told my boss I will not be held accountable for MT mistakes on a file that did not require me to listen to it, and that I was tired of getting emails of such a nature. This job is giving me PTSD every time I have to proof a file for this client. I am starting to take it personally...its nearly every damn week I get an email about one of their files :(

yep, stellar day...I even had to edit documents at 0.03 cents a line, which ended up making me only $5.35 and hour for that 1 hour I had to edit, I'd go broke quick trying to edit the Speech Recognition engine as they spit out some god awful stuff...they don't pay me enuff to edit that crap.
However, for the other 7 hours in QA, I ended up make $23.69 cents an hour!
I feel good! haha!

I actually got in a whole day of QA work without incident or delay in pulling work...that's a big deal on a Monday around here lately. I've heard a few QA people resigned, which obviously leaves more work for me, as I uploaded 86 documents. Doesn't mean I'm not looking for better work and/or a better employer. :)
and today my son is 44...he called stating he had some joint issues with his shoulder, knee, had a hernia he needed to get fixed...I tellya... makes me feel old to be his momma. He is my first born babe. I guess we are having a pig roast on the farm this labor day weekend. Should be fun.
this cartoon made me laugh thinking about those commercials where they give you the worst case scenario!
my knees could be a little happier...I wouldn't mind the euphoria! haha!

and after 10 minutes of logging in we were out of work again. :(( I have appts this week, and no doubt going to need to make up hours.
in other news, my hot water spicket would not turn off...I had to beat it into submission...that ancient valve hadn't been turned in 50 years probably under the bathroom sink. Gotta get that replaced. Its always something around here. :(( gacckkk!

same old shit, day in, day out, so I am sitting at my desk...I've logged 2 hours and 55 minutes by 11, however I've been here at my desk since 7:15. Anybody need a good quality assurance person?! I could sure use a good paying job that actually has work for me consistently throughout the day. Maybe I should be an independent contractor...
back to Monday...
well I worked 10 minutes, no more work coming into the QA hub, checking back in at 10. Didn't sleep a bit last night, not sure what was up with that...I'm gonna be dead later. I couldn't even get back to sleep or nap this morning. Gonna be a long day. :(
