I thought that is what the doctor said ...

While QA'ing reports, doctor says "The patient lives in "Boring" with his wife" ... so sure enough in order to verify this, Google says there is a Boring, Oregon ... and supposedly a most exciting place to be! ... according to the sign ... I wonder if the locals think so! ... it never ceases to amaze me the name of some towns and perhaps the stories behind how they got their names...like Accident, Maryland for example...LOL

Caged Up ...

Lately its been work, work, and more work and I've felt caged in due to all the services coming into the home directly after work; this is making for some long days.  Little Queenie has not been the most cooperative teen, however considering she was gone a total of 18 months altogether counting both times, what was I expecting? a perfect child with no further issues?  Speaking of caged up, and some anger rightly so, I'm sure she felt rather caged up and confined as well.  Fact is she has a new counselor whom she met for the first time Monday, so I am hoping that at least she can open up and get some feelings out and spewing less anger out.  She put on her Facebook page a 'crying face' and talk about not having her mother/father in her life, only to state that she had a fuss with her mother, who is 3,000 miles away, and I lent an ear to possibly get her to open up about it, but she refused to talk about it.  I am constantly surveying her Facebook and chats (everything I can do on my smartphone) to make sure she isn't inappropriate and/or editing comments made by others.  She does have some really nice kids she talks to online however.   Its only a matter of just a few short weeks before school gets in session again, that will at least give her more routine instead of staying up all night and sleeping all day. I think this is the new teen phenomena, staying up all night on Facebook or snapchat, and then sleeping all day.  However, she doesn't know that I am the Wifi Queen around here and Yours Truly just blocked snapchat altogether and will allow her some social networking but after a certain time at night ... oopsey! must be problems with the carrier, and/or in the line.  Amazing she hasn't caught on yet but there are such things as Parental Controls on the router.  Its been a godsend.

Yesterday it was shopping for school clothes and today will be shopping for supplies.

However, guess who had the night off and no services yesterday? Yep, Yours Truly.  Indeed I felt like a free bird and totally enjoyed it, actually more than I should have! :)

yep ... Tuesday...

We teach Medical Transcription and also own a Transcription Service, so we KNOW Transcription. Complete training ($989) at www.MTPractice.com for this work-at-home CAREER.:

work is low today.  No call from my boss to rant or rave, just to find out if I saw so and so online working.  One of our accounts got shipped back offshore.  Not gonna miss that acct.  Instructions were never updated, half the time you didn't know if you were doing this or that right.  Offshore never gets in a hurry to update instructions, or maybe they just want to trip the US people up.  Either way, I'm still working for the same place I always did.

my cat ...

right now chasing a big moth around my bedroom ... she's here, she's there ... she's everywhere... she's giving me a workout just watching her, does that count? God knows I need to work out more, perhaps catching pokemon outside will take off some extra.   I took a nap from 7 to about 10:30 so now I'm wide awake!  It looked as though the moth has been caught several times; its wings all tattered ... its as big as a small bird...LOL ...

and now she's back up on the bed.  Mission accomplished.  Trespasser caught and quarantined.  I hope she didn't eat it...ick!  and now I can get back to doing my thing!

Blogging ... who takes the time anymore?

Where have I been these days?  I have blogged for years now, and met a lot of interesting people online and enjoyed it for the most part.  One such friendship landed in a 7 year relationship, albiet it one sided I would come to find out, but nonetheless came from an online chat.  The New York billionaire and his Kentucky gal.  Right.  Haven't really been in a relationship since.

Most of us old Bloggers from Blostream are still around, and my connection with you, while it may seem far and few in between, even at times when I'm MIA or you are, we still try to touch base and catch up.  I've missed yuns. I don't know what happened to a few of 'em.  Is there still an active group site on Facebook? Blogger is where most of us migrated to after Blogstream shut down.  Some of us would try other sites for a while.

Most of you I know online, and I've been known to rant, rave, and everything inbetween...share probably way too much of myself and my real life but after all, isn't that what we're doing here? Connecting and sharing and laughing, sometimes bitching?  I've learned a lot about myself online; its a form of therapy I think.  I used to love to write, have gotten away from it.  Sad to say when family is missing, and friends die off or come and go or are even too few, the online connections sometimes means a lot.

Right now I am going through a lot, things maybe I can share, maybe not, but I need to try.  I'm around.  I need to clean up my blog lists as some are pretty old and haven't blogged in years it would appear.  :) If you're still around and feel inclined, give me a shoutout.

A Random Act of Kindness

With all the violence and upheaval of our law enforcement in the news lately, it makes me wonder what is coming next. Its hard to believe we live in such scary times and even though I am not a bible thumper, most of what we see is written. I was just having this conversation yesterday at the "lube/oil" establishment with a lady who dropped off a care package for soldiers. The lady was met at the door by the guy who was sitting with me waiting and he helped her lift it up to the counter as she was struggling to handle the load.  This was the 2nd random act of the day, selfless giving of time and of goods for those who protect our country; the first random act of the day happened to me!   I had already been to the "lube/oil" place once; this was my second time there as it appears that this is a place who will check lights and signals too, and the guy told me my left/right signals were not working so he offered to replace the bulbs to which I said yes. He said he could only get to one of them as it was hard to reach and gave me the bulb as cars were piling up and since this appeared to be taking too much time since he struggled to replace the right one, he gave up trying to fix it.  I told him that was fine and paid and left. I was going to have my mechanic flush the transmission fluid anyway and he could replace the right turn signal.

I leave and go get the other 2 filters at AutoZone and the guy there puts them in; the lube place offered to do it for free as well, and while there we discovered that I have no brake lights either. On trying my signal which the guy said he fixed, I had no signal either. So there I am no brake lights no turn lights. The guy at AutoZone told me to go back to the lube place and have them take another look perhaps they pulled out something wrong or blew a fuse while trying to put that right turn signal bulb in without success. I thought perhaps since the sun was shining directly and brightly on my taillights at Auto Zone that perhaps he was mistaken, but while on the phone with the lube/oil place again the guy said to me on the phone, "You had brake lights when you were here."  I knew I was going to have to make a trip up there again.

Regardless I have to stop at a local gas station to fuel, so I saw this middle-aged guy at another pump and since I parked in the shade, I asked if he would mind to check and see if I have brake lights and he said I have no tail lights or turn signals. He says his wife has had issues like such before, not that they were a bad place necessarily just inexperienced perhaps, or got in a hurry and failed to follow through with what they should have. In any event, he was very sweet and offered to "be my son" and follow me back to the lube/oil place to talk to the guys there and get this resolved. "My mom cannot be driving without brake lights or turn signals..." and if she had them before she left, and now she does not, could you please take a look and fix the issues ... to which they complied and I had turn signals and brake lights when I left at no charge. It was very sweet of him to do, and they even offered to replace the taillight that had the red cover over it as I broke it Memorial Day backing up thinking I had cleared a pole. In any event, I have a "new son" however I only know his name and nothing else, but I was very proud to be his Mommy for that moment he gave of himself to help me, a total stranger. As we got ready to leave, he said "Gimme a hug Mom, to which I replied, thank you son, kiss my babies for me" and we both left! awesome!

Oh Gawd! What Did I Just Do?

Nooooooo!  I was leaving to take the kiddo to her tumbling class, and realizing I parked in the alley I locked my front screen door and then inadvertently went out my back door, but it appears that I hit the twist lock on the back door not thinking and as soon as I shut it ... I realized I don't have a key for that lock, so I whip out a few credit cards and other cards trying to slide and open the door.  The door must be 30 years old and it by no means is that secure ... a little rickety, after all, its just a twist lock, it couldn't be that hard to get open could it?... well think again... I couldn't get it open despite my efforts and I really didn't want to have to call in a locksmith! So I decided to take her on to her class and deal with it when I got back home.

it figures my full glass screen door at the front door has a deadbolt which did come with two keys; however, where are the keys when you need them? certainly not on my keychain! ...

so I finally arrive back at the hacienda, and its hotter than a mother hummer due to the humidity here, and after a few more 'jimmy' attempts to avoid paying a locksmith fee, it became impossible to pick this lock so I had to call a locksmith.   Don't you hate it when that happens? locking yourself out...ugh!

Well, he doesn't call or arrive until about 9:30 ... it appears this guy was rather elderly, forgot his glasses, forgot his tools that he was going to bring the first time, and failed at both locks the first time, so he went back home to retrieve more tools!  I was beginning to wonder if he could get the job done at all, but finally he did and at a cheaper price than I had to pay before.  He only charged me $45 bucks; it could have been worse!  Oh, what a night! but finally we got back in the house at 11 PM!  all I can say is..

There's no place like home :).

a slow dance ...

"It's you and me and all the other people, and I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off of you.":

“Love is kisses and touches and all the little things that make your body flood with emotions such as need, want, protectiveness, jealousy, hurt, and anger. It can take your breath away, or smother you at times, and make you feel like you can’t go on. Your heart may race a thousand miles per minute, then slow down, and then race again, just with a simple look. Love is deadly and can kill you from the inside out if you let it. It makes you do stupid, ridiculous things, and say senseless sappy words, or listen to silly love songs, jazz, or dance in the streets, or laugh, or smile. Love is a weapon, or a drug, and can drive a person mad. I know what love is…” and when its raining outside, I'd love to have that significant other to keep the love alive inside ...
