Ol' Blue

PhotobucketA young cowboy from Wyoming goes off to college, but half way through the semester, he has foolishly squandered all his money.

He calls home. 'Dad,' he says, 'You won't believe what modern education is developing! They actually have a program here in Laramie that will teach our dog, Ol' Blue how to talk!'

'That's amazing,' his Dad says. 'How do I get Ol' Blue in that program?'

'Just send him down here with $1,000' the young cowboy says. 'I'll get him in the course.'

So, his father sends the dog and $1,000.

About two-thirds through the semester, the money again runs out. The boy calls home.

'So how's Ol' Blue doing son,' his father asks.

'Awesome, Dad, he's talking up a storm,' he says, 'but you just won't
believe this - they've had such good results they have started to teach the animals how to read!'

'Read!' says his father, 'No kidding?! How do we get Blue in that
program?'

Just send $2,500, I'll get him in the class.'

The money promptly arrives. But our hero has a problem. At the end of
the year, his father will find out the dog can neither talk, nor read. So he shoots the dog.

When he arrives home at the end of the year, his father is all excited. 'Where's Ol' Blue? I just can't wait to see him read something and talk!'

'Dad,' the boy says, 'I have some grim news. Yesterday morning, just
before we left to drive home, Ol' Blue was in the living room, kicked back in the recliner, reading the Wall Street Journal, like he usually does.

Then he turned to me and asked, 'So, is your daddy still messing' around with that little redhead who lives in town?'

The father exclaimed, 'I hope you shot that son of a biscuit eater before he talks to your Mother!'

'I sure did, Dad!'

'That's my boy!'

poor Ol'Blue.

Sunday Night Fairy Tales...

Here is a fairy tale for yuns told by Archie Campbell. Its hilarious!

how about a few twisted nursery rhymes?

Little Jack Horner sat in his corner
eatin' his pork and beans
He ate 30 cans and woofed down some yams
And his britches split apart at the seams!

A confused young lady named Alice
Used a dynamite stick as a phallus
They found her vagina in South Carolina
And bits of her tits were in Dallas!

Mary had a little lamb,
a little pork, a little ham,
a little egg, a little toast,
some pickles and a great big roast,
an ice cream soda topped with fizz,
and man, how sick our Mary is!

Jack & Jill went up the hill
to smoke a little leaf.
Jack got high, pulled down his fly,
and Jill said, "Where's the beef?"

Mary had a little lamb,
Her father shot it dead.
Now it goes to school with her,
Between two hunks of bread.

Georgie Porgie puddin’ and pie
Kissed the girls and made them cry
When the boys came out to play,
He kissed them too, he's funny that way.

yeah, yeah, I know they're sick, found 'em online but funny!

That Must've Been Some Spicy Meatball~!

While in Italy on business, a married man has an affair with a young Italian woman. Before he is scheduled to catch a flight back to the United States, she tells him that she may be pregnant.

Concerned about financial support, the woman brings up the subject as to how he will care for her child without his wife finding out.

He then tells her that when she has the child, to send him a post card with the word "spaghetti" written on the back of it. Then he will set up an account at an Italian bank so she can have money to take care of the child.

Nine months later, he comes home from work, only to find his wife holding a post card from Italy. With a puzzled look on her face, she asks her husband about the post card and hands it over for him to read.

As she watches her husband read the card, his hands began to shake as a sullen look appears on his face. As his face loses all color, he attempts to read the message his Italian mistress wrote to him.

It read:  Spaghetti. Spaghetti, and more Spaghetti. Two with meatballs. One without. Send extra sauce!

and here's another tale for ya...

Meet Margaret and Charles, who have been married for 35 years.

Charles was always a cowboy buff and wanted a pair of authentic cowboy boots. Seeing some on sale one day, he buys them, wears them home, walking proudly.

He walks into the house and says to his wife, "Notice anything different about me?"

Margaret looks him over, "Nope."

Frustrated Charles storms off into the bathroom, undresses, and walks back into the room completely nakey except for the boots.

Again, he asks, a little louder this time, "Notice anything different NOW?"

Margaret looks up and says, "Charles, what's different? It's hanging down today, it was hanging down yesterday, it'll be hanging down again tomorrow.

Furious, Charles yells, "AND DO YOU KNOW WHY IT IS HANGING DOWN, MARGARET?"

"Nope". She replies.

"IT'S HANGING DOWN BECAUSE IT'S LOOKING AT MY NEW BOOTS!!!"

To which Margaret replies, "YA SHOULDA BOUGHT A HAT!"

How many of ya'll have seen the Naked Cowboy (in the above picture) on the streets of New York?!

Another Poem From the Redneck Collection...

Susie Lee done fell in love,
She planned to marry Joe.
She was so happy 'bout it all,
She told her Pappy so..

Pappy told her, Susie gal,
You'll have to find another.
I’d just as soon yo' ma don't know,
but Joe is yo' half brother.

So Susie put aside her Joe
and planned to marry Will.
But after telling Pappy this,
He said, 'There's trouble still.'

You can't marry Will, my gal,

A Hillbilly Love Poem ...

Collards is green, my dog's name is Blue and I'm so lucky to have a sweet thang like you.

Yore hair is like cornsilk a-flapping in the breeze. Softer than Blue's and without all dem fleas.

You move like the bass, which excite me in May. You ain't got no scales but I luv you anyway.

Yo're as satisfy'n as okry jist a-fry'n in the pan. Yo're as fragrant as "snuff" right out of the can.

You have some'a yore teeth, for which I am proud; I hold my head high when we're in a crowd.

On special occasions, when you shave under yore arms, well, I'm in hawg heaven,

and awed by yore charms.

Still them fellers at work, they all want to know, what I did to deserve such a purdy, young doe.

Like a good roll of duct tape yo're there fer yore man, to patch up life's troubles

and fix what you can.

Yo're as cute as a junebug a-buzzin' overhead. You ain't mean like those far ants I found in my bed.

Cut from the best cloth like a plaid flannel shirt, you spark up my life more than a fresh load of dirt.

When you hold me real tight like a padded gunrack, my life is complete; ain't nuttin' I lack.

Yore complexion, it's perfection, like the best vinyl sidin'

despite all the years, yore age, it keeps hidin'.

Me 'n' you's like a Moon Pie with a RC cold drank,

we go together like a skunk goes with it's stank.

Some men, they buy chocolate for dem special days; they git it at Wal-Mart, it's romantical that way.

Some men git roses on special days from the cooler at Kroger. That's impressive," I say.

Some men buy fine diamonds from a flea market booth.

"Diamonds are forever," they explain, suave and couth.

But for this man, honey, these won't do. Cause yor'e too special, you sweet thang you.

I got you a gift, without taste nor odor, more useful than diamonds......

IT'S A NEW TROLL'N MOTOR!!

Luv, from yor romeo, Bubba.

P.S. I think yore slicker'n deer guts on a door nob.

Welcome to the Sunday Edition of Twisted Fables ...

hey rocky.... Pictures, Images and Photos

Remember the Rocky & Bullwinkle Show ? Well, they had a segment on their show called Fractured Fairy Tales, you guys remember this? Anyway, the following story is a twisted parable from one of the segments from the show (with a little ad lib thrown in)! These tales were subversive, and delightfully twisted, and probably not politically correct! Enjoy!

The Beauty and the Beast

Once upon a time there was a magnificent golden castle on a silver cloud high up in the sky, which has nothing to do anything because our story tonight is about an old woodchopper who lived in a shack, but that’s a good way to start a fairy tale, eh, bloggers?

PhotobucketThe old man was very happy, but he had a daughter who was very unhappy because ... well ~ she was rather plain. Actually ~ she was really plain. In fact, she had a face like five miles of bad road!!!

Anyway, it was time for her marry but because she was fat and ugly, none of the young men of the kingdom ever came to ask for her hand, or any other part of her body, for that matter. Then one day, the old man decided to cheer her up.

“Child, it is your birthday and I’ve brought you something to keep you from being so lonely.”

“A man?” she asked, wide-eyed.

“Nope. A donkey.” (hee-haw-hee-haw!)

He pointed to a brown, furry, four-legged, grunting beast. Well, a mule wasn’t exactly the kind of companion she had in mind, but at least it was somebody to talk to.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket“Hi there, silly beast,” said the girl to the donkey. “I wonder if you were once a handsome prince changed into a mule by a wicked witch. If so, I could break the spell with a kiss.” She smacked the mule right on its lips. It was not use. The donkey was a donkey, and had always been a donkey!

The next day, the old man instructed his daughter to take a bundle of sticks to the village.

“A bundle of sticks” she asked him. “What for?”

“How should I know,” said the old man. “But somebody is always carrying a bundle of sticks around in fairy tales. You know that.”

So the young girl took the bundle of sticks and decided to ride her trusty donkey into the village. But something very strange happened. Unknown to her, the moment she climbed onto the mule’s back – POOF! – she turned into a beautiful maiden. You know the type; blond hair, blue eyes, a figure like she spends her days doing Jazzercise!

Anyway, when she reached the village, she could hardly believe her eyes, for all the young men, instead of laughing and throwing mud at her, bowed, tipped their hats, and made catcalls. She was still trying to figure it out when a handsome young prince rode up to her on a snow-white horse.

“Ah, fair lady!” he exclaimed. “You are truly the most lovely beauty in the land.”

“Why, my young prince, she replied, batting her eyes, “Are you nuts or sumpthin’?”

“With your permission,” said the prince, “I should like to call upon you tonight. How about when the clock strikes the hour of eightish?”

Flushed with excitement, the girl race home, but when she arrived and stepped off her mule—POOF! –she immediately returned to her fat, little ugly self. That night, promptly at eightish o’clock, the prince, sitting astride his white charger, knocked at the door.

The girl opened the door and smiled her crooked-toothed smile—one that made chopped yak liver seem appealing—and chirped, “Helloooo.”

“Um,” said the prince, who at that moment desired a bit of Pepto-Bismol, or the medieval equivalent. “Is your sister at home?”

“I don’t have a sister,” the girl said.

“Your aunt then,” the prince said.

“I don’t have an aunt.”

“Your cousin? Your best friend? Your babysitter?”

“What are you talking about? Asked the girl. “I live here alone with my father.”

The prince, figuring he had found the wrong house, galloped quickly off on his white steed. The poor girl was left standing at the door, broken-hearted and trying to understand what had gone wrong. The following day, her father again asked her to go into the village. This time to pick up a bundle of sticks.

“It’ll take your mind off your ugliness,” said the old man, patting her kindly on her head.

No sooner had the girl climbed on the donkey’s back than –POOF!—once again she changed into a beautiful maiden. On the way to the village she chanced to pass a clear, still pool of water. Looking into it, she saw her reflection and shocked to see she was now very beautiful. She hopped off her donkey for a close look and—POOF! – instantly she changed back into her former ugly self. And then, she suddenly realized what had happened.

“I get it now,” she said out loud to no one in particular, as people in fairy tales sometimes do. “This is a magic donkey. As long as I sit upon this beast, I’m a beauty!” The girl jumped back onto the donkey, and—POOF!—beautiful again. And the beauty and the beast dashed to find the prince. When he saw her coming, he rode up to her on his gallant steed.

“Ah, lovely beauty,” he said. “I have found you again. Please say you will be mine so that we may be married.”

“Yes, but on one condition,” she said. “That I remain on my donkey at all times.”

Of course, this seemed like a strange request, but the prince agreed.

“So be it, my love,” he said. “And so that we start off on the right foot—or on the right hoof—I shall stay on my horse as long as you stay on your mule.”

And thus they were married by a priest, who delivered the sermon on a mule. As the years went by, the young girl was very happy, although the poor mule did get a bit of a backache. And true to his word, the prince also stayed on his horse. And as any good husband would, he took her dancing every Saturday night at the palace, there they were the most striking couple of the dance floor. Or actually, the most striking quadruple on the dance floor.

On day, as the girl rode in the garden –WHOOSH!—the wind blew off her bonnet. Not stopping to think, she hopped off her donkey to get the hat and –POOF! –She immediately turned into an ugly, disgusting hag again. Realizing her mistake, she scrambled to get back into the saddle again. But it was too late, for just then the prince rode up.

“Pardon me, old hag,” said the prince. “have you seen my wife? Wait a minute, this is her donkey!”

“Yes,” blushed the hag, gulping. “And I am your wife.” She began to sadly confess the whole story to her husband, but instead of being angry, he did an amazing thing. He clapped his hands and laughed for joy.

This is what he said: “Ha, ha, ha, ha. Yahoo! Yippee!”

“I don’t get it,” said the girl. “Are you happy to find out that I’m really ugly?”

“No!” said the prince. “I’m happy to know that I can finally get off this blasted horse. You see, I’m only a handsome prince when I stay on him.”

And with that, the prince hopped off his horse and –POOF!—he changed into one of the ugliest men ever to walk the earth. He was fat and bald and full of warts. His face looked like ten miles of bad road!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket“Ugh!” You’re uglier than me!” said the girl, with glee.

“We were meant for each other!” said the man, as they embraced.

“Just think--no more saddle sores!”

Photobucket

And so, the ugly man and the ugly girl were able to live happily ever after.

Which only goes to prove that “A donkey and his honey are soon parted.”

Hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of Bedtime with Bella! Tune in next week for another tall tale!

The Dating Game

Meet Fred. Fred is attracted to a woman named Martha. He asks her out to a movie; she accepts; they have a pretty good time. A few nights later he asks her out to dinner, and again they enjoy themselves. They continue to see each other regularly, and after a while neither one of them is seeing anybody else.

And then, one evening when they're driving home, a thought occurs to Martha, and, without really thinking, she says it aloud: "Do you realize that, as of tonight, we've been seeing each other for exactly six months?"

And then, there is silence in the car.

To Martha, it seems like a very loud silence. She thinks to herself: I wonder if it bothers him that I said that. Maybe he's been feeling confined by our relationship; maybe he thinks I'm trying to push him into some kind of obligation that he doesn't want, or isn't sure of.

And Fred is thinking: Gosh. Six months.

And Martha is thinking: But, hey, I'm not so sure I want this kind of relationship either. Sometimes I wish I had a little more space, so I'd have time to think about whether I really want us to keep going the way we are, moving steadily towards, I mean, where are we going? Are we just going to keep seeing each other at this level of intimacy? Are we heading toward marriage? Toward children? Toward a lifetime together? Am I ready for that level of commitment? Do I really even know this person?

And Fred is thinking: ...so that means it was...let's see...February when we started going out, which was right after I had the car at the dealer's, which means...lemme check the odometer...Whoa! I am way overdue for an oil change here.

And Martha is thinking: He's upset. I can see it on his face. Maybe I'm reading this completely wrong. Maybe he wants more from our relationship, more intimacy, more commitment; maybe he has sensed - even before I sensed it - that I was feeling some reservations. Yes, I bet that's it. That's why he's so reluctant to say anything about his own feelings. He's afraid of being rejected.

And Fred is thinking: And I'm gonna have them look at the transmission again. I don't care what those morons say, it's still not shifting right. And they better not try to blame it on the cold weather this time. What cold weather? It's 87 degrees out, and this thing is shifting like a garbage truck, and I paid those incompetent thieves $600.
And Martha is thinking: He's angry. And I don't blame him. I'd be angry, too. I feel so guilty, putting him through this, but I can't help the way I feel. I'm just not sure.

And Fred is thinking: They'll probably say it's only a 90-day warranty...scumballs.

And Martha is thinking: Maybe I'm just too idealistic, waiting for a knight to come riding up on his white horse, when I'm sitting right next to a perfectly good person, a person I enjoy being with, a person I truly do care about, a person who seems to truly care about me. A person who is in pain because of my self-centered, schoolgirl romantic fantasy.

And Fred is thinking: Warranty? They want a warranty? I'll give them a warranty. I'll take their warranty and stick it...

"Fred," Martha says aloud. "What?" says Fred, startled. "Please don't torture yourself like this," she says, her eyes beginning to brim with tears. "Maybe I should never have...oh dear, I feel so..."(She breaks down, sobbing.)

"What?" says Fred.

"I'm such a fool," Martha sobs. "I mean, I know there's no knight. I really know that. It's silly. There's no knight, and there's no horse." "There's no horse?" says

Fred. "You think I'm a fool, don't you?" Martha says.

"No!" says Fred, glad to finally know the correct answer. "It's just that...it's that I...I need some time," Martha says.

(There is a 15-second pause while Fred, thinking as fast as he can, tries to come up with a safe response. Finally he comes up with one that he thinks might work.)

"Yes," he says.

(Martha, deeply moved, touches his hand.)

"Oh, Fred, do you really feel that way?" she says.

"What way?" says Fred. "That way about time," says Martha.

"Oh," says Fred. "Yes." (Martha turns to face him and gazes deeply into his eyes, causing him to become very nervous about what she might say next, especially if it involves a horse. At last she speaks.)

"Thank you, Fred," she says.

"Thank you," says Fred. Then he takes her home, and she lies on her bed, a conflicted, tortured soul, and weeps until dawn, whereas when Fred gets back to his place, he opens a bag of Doritos, turns on the TV, and immediately becomes deeply involved in a rerun of a college basketball game between two South Dakota junior colleges that he has never heard of.

A tiny voice in the far recesses of his mind tells him that something major was going on back there in the car, but he is pretty sure there is no way he would ever understand what, and so he figures it's better if he doesn't think about it.

The next day Martha will call her closest friend, or perhaps two of them, and they will talk about this situation for six straight hours. In painstaking detail, they will analyze everything she said and everything he said, going over it time and time again, exploring every word, expression, and gesture for nuances of meaning, considering every possible ramification. They will continue to discuss this subject, off and on, for weeks, maybe months, never reaching any definite conclusions, but never getting bored with it either.

Meanwhile, Fred, while playing racquetball one day with a mutual friend of his and Martha's, will pause just before serving, frown, and say: "Norm, did Martha ever own a horse?"

Hung Herself with a Rope ...

On any given day, some of struggle with what to post and oftentimes post work of another author, for example a poem, or use pictures from a site but when doing so should give credit where credit is due.  I have to admit that at times I get a little lax about it when I find stuff online, but to concoct a fairytale story with pictures from webshots and say this is your own personal garden at your house is and that you personally attend to this garden from a wheelchair?! Would she really think that some people would not recognize this as being a famous visitor garden of a well known historical mansion, that being the Ropes Garden Mansion in Salem, Mass.

A Twisted Fable

ya know, I am okay alone, CM. I'd prefer to have someone in my life to share certain aspects, but I guess in a way I'm selfish when it comes to space. I like having my own space, uninterrupted, and I'm not sure I wanta deal with somebody in it 24/7, especially messin' up my bathroom!!
