double trouble

 This video makes me laugh, cause after bubby died, my friend Peggy told me that there was a kitten living in her garage that really needed a home so of course, I took it in figuring that Sissy might need a companion since Bubby died...

This little kitten (which is 5 or 6 months old) tries her best to get along with Sissy, and after 3 days Sissy is a little more lenient, but she still intimidates this kitten cause she's the Queen of the House! This kitten has remarkable coloring, most of it white, some calico, and a striped tail! Very funny looking to include a totally black nose in a triangle shape!

The kitten used to run from all of us, but is getting used to us after about 5 days, and will at least come around me now! here is her pic! She's a female too! click on the pic to enlarge.

Losing my gentle giant..

Even though pets don't live forever, it still hurts to have to put one down.  I watched this cat suffer for a few months really, not himself, sleeping too much, and here the last 3 days he went from barely walking to not at all, and just would lay and every once in a while cry out.  Sad, truly sad.  He was comforted by our voices.  Yesterday, my daughter and I took Bubby into the vet's office to have him put to sleep around 4 PM.  He was my daughter's cat, and she is 21, and she had him since she was 7 years old.  The suffering was just too much to bear.  He was a big cat, a Maine Coon, and he lived a long life.  It was hard to see him go.  He was so vocal and sweet and loving, sorely missed.

Rest in peace, Bub, till we meet again.

Ding-Dong, have you missed me?

 Its been a busy time for me, sorry I've been MIA.  Anyway, I got a little joke to pass your way.

A new hotel employee was asked to clean the elevators and report back to the supervisor when the task was completed.  When the employee failed to appear at the end of the day the supervisor assumed that like many others he had simply not liked the job, quit, and left.

However, after four days the supervisor bumped into the new employee. He was cleaning in one of the elevators.

"You surely haven't been cleaning these elevators for four days, have you?" asked the supervisor, accusingly.

"Yes sir," said the employee, "This is a big job and I've not finished yet - Do you realize there are over forty of them, two on each floor, and sometimes they are not even there.."

LOL ...  I think I know people with this mentality...

random

movies by state shape...LOL...

some people have way too much time on their hands!

nearly August?

Where did the month go?

Time just keeps slipping by me.  I've got so much to do.  School is right around the corner; before that I have some home projects I need to get done, as well as getting this house refinanced enough to perhaps be able after I whittle down the house payment to take on a car payment. God knows I need a car too.

As far as Isabella living with me, her mother started her verbiage wanting to take me to court again for custody, but she knows deep down that she cannot handle Isabella.  She has mental issues too, in one visit went from sweet and nice wanting to do something nice for me she says, then turned to aggressive and belligerent a few minutes later, even taking it outside before she left the property.  I ordered her and hubby off my property.  That was it for me. She wanted to blame it on hormones, I blame it on crazy.  From now on, I control when Isabella sees her mother and when her mother can see her.  No more bullying from either one of those two.  I am pulling the reins back on this dysfunctional mess.

I think my grown daughter (Isabella's mother) was on her high horse cause Social Services gave Wyatt back to them cause they said as long as they have a roof and food stamps, and Mother in Law to pay all their bills they look normal, so she thinks Isabella needs to be 'home' with them.  Yeah right, its not okay with me.  Neither of them want to work or keep a job, and Isabella will go without if she lives over there.  She is only a commodity to them, more foodstamps and more tax money so they can blow it all on themselves while the kids go without.

I will drag whoever I have to into court if need be, and that includes Mother In Law and her pocketbook, and as a matter of fact, I am about ready to file back for child support for Isabella, perhaps Mother In Law would like to contribute to this household too!  Its been nearly two weeks and Isabella nor I have talked to grown daughter (Isabella's mother).

In any event, some things never change around here, and work is still sucking the life out of me.

Desiderata

Latin meaning “The things wanted, needed, or necessary. Things which are desired.”

The common myth is that the Desiderata poem was found in a Baltimore church in 1692 and is centuries old, of unknown origin. Desiderata was in fact written around 1920 (although some say as early as 1906), and certainly copyrighted in 1927, by lawyer Max Ehrmann (1872-1945) based in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Desiderata myth began after Reverend Frederick Kates reproduced the Desiderata poem in a collection of inspirational works for his congregation in 1959 on church notepaper, headed: 'The Old St Paul's Church, Baltimore, AD 1692' (the year the church was founded). Copies of the Desiderata page were circulated among friends, and the myth grew, accelerated particularly when a copy of the erroneously attributed Desiderata was found at the bedside of deceased Democratic politician Aidlai Stevenson in 1965.

Whatever the history of Desiderata, Max Ehrmann's prose is inspirational, and offers a simple positive credo for life.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,

and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender,

be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly;

and listen to others,

even to the dull and the ignorant;

they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons;

they are vexatious to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,

you may become vain or bitter,

for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;

it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,

for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;

many persons strive for high ideals,

and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.

Neither be cynical about love,

for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,

it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,

gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,

be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe

no less than the trees and the stars;

you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you,

no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,

whatever you conceive Him to be.

And whatever your labors and aspirations,

in the noisy confusion of life,

keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,

it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy.

Friday is right around the corner...

its been a long week! bring on the weekend.  Can I get an amen from ya'll out there in blogland? Is there life out there??  Heard this one?

A wealthy couple prepared to go out for the evening. The woman of the house gave their butler, Jervis, the night off. She said they would return home very late, and she hoped he would enjoy his evening.

Unfortunately, the wife wasn't having a good time at the party, so she came home early, alone. Her husband stayed on, socializing with important clients. As the woman walked into her house, she found Jervis by himself in the dining room. She called him to follow her, and led him into the master bedroom.

She turned to him and said, in the voice she knew he must obey: "Jervis, I want you to take off my dress."

This he did, hanging it carefully over a chair. "Jervis," she continued, "now take off my stockings and garter belt."

Again, Jervis silently obeyed: "Now, Jervis, I want you to remove my bra and panties."

Eyes downcast, Jervis obeyed. Both were breathing heavily, the tension mounting between them. She looked sternly at him and said: "Jervis, if I ever catch you wearing my stuff again, you're fired!" {#basic-ohsnap.gif}
