I'm finding all kinds of crazy stuff...

We started the patient on a home exercise program today, including scratching, range of motion, and strengthening with focus on extension and increasing thigh and hip strength.

Don't discuss these matters

it sure was a beautiful Sunday in my neck of the woods...

Episodic dyscontrol syndrome (EDS, or sometimes just dyscontrol), is a pattern of abnormal, episodic, and frequently violent and uncontrollable social behavior in the absence of significant provocation; it can result from limbic system diseases, disorders of the temporal lobe, or abuse of alcohol or other psychoactive substances. EDS may affect children or adults.

Simon, Robert I. (1990-12-01). "A Canadian Perspective (p. 392)". Review of Clinical Psychiatry and the Law (Hardback) (Version 2 ed.). Arlington: American Psychiatric Pub, Inc. p. 424. ISBN 0-88048-376-8. The decision in a case concerning episodic dyscontrol syndrome seems to have expanded the definition of "diseases of the mind". In R. v. Butler, the accused had a history of injuries to the head. He was charged with aggravated assault of his wife's infant son. The child had been badly beaten on the head, and the accused, while admitting that he was alone at home with the child, had no memory of beating the child on the head. The medical history of the accused was brought forward at the trial, and a neurologist ventured the opinion that he sufferred from episodic dyscontrol syndrome, entailing an interruption of normal control mechanisms. His other violent acts were symptomatic. In the court decision, it was noted that disease of the mind had both a legal and medical component.

How Do You Spell Tired?

d-e-a-d !  that was me yesterday at 3:30; went to bed and slept until about 8 p.m.  Got up, fixed a salad, ate and went back to bed 3 hours later!  geeze.

Image result for my mojo is gone

Today, I just could not get into the groove of working...not at all...

Sundays...

I should have slept in today but instead I got up, busied myself, and trying to avoid getting sucked in the alcoholic Brandy's life.  It appears she is now homeless.  Her mother and daughter and grandson hired a moving truck and are going to live in Michigan.  Brandy was not invited along.  She has been here a year supposedly to get clean and get on with her life but instead she has entertained herself with black guys who abuse her, drinking alcohol, whining about her kids who live states away, when she should have gotten herself detoxed.  Guess she is going to move in with a guy who has a daughter and hopefully he can convince her to get some help.  He seems from what she tells me willing to help her in any way he can, so that's good; she definitely needs a lot of help; first off for that alcoholism, otherwise things are just going to go to hell between them.

In other news, for Sunday dinner I made manicotti and garlic bread twisted sticks! Surely there is a trick to stuffing manicotti pasta than doing it with a spoon & your fingers...LOL...but it turned out okay.  I stuffed it with sauteed mushrooms, garlic, spinach, basil and threw that into my ricotta  ... it was delicious if I say so myself.  :)

Podsnack...just what I need...

too bad I can't listen to this while I proof documents from 5 PM to 7 PM ... OMG...what a way to burn on a Friday evening ... :((

oh boy....

it appears that there was HIPAA violation made by an uploaded file that had the right first and last name of the patient but the middle name was wrong, and the medical record # was wrong, so it went somewhere it shouldn't have and somebody is responsible and more than likely on the chopping block!

I know we are supposed to be perfect but...

There are huge fines for this type of mistake for the company, and the last thing any QA person wants is to be liable for such a crucial mistake.   Everybody is freaking out thinking its them...no names are being passed around about it.  I asked my boss but she don't know yet either. :(

Anyway...sometimes little mistakes in reports make me laugh like this one...
