Pavarotti before 8 am? come on...nooooooo!

This doctor is listening to Pavarotti and his big voice is nearly taking over this dictation that I am having to listen to on a patient! it is very dramatic...highs, lows...one of Pavarotti's best! but it shouldn't be played during a patient dictation, good grief!  I can barely hear the doctor over it, but then again who can hear anything but Pavarotti when he would open his mouth,  huh?!

What a way to wake up the morning! LOL

You've been demoted ... or worse...

Image result for job cuts  well it appears my immediate boss lost her position and she will know what it feels like to have to meet production at 3 1/2 cents a line because she has to work like I do as a quality assurance editor.  I hate to say it serves her right but ... now she'll get a taste of what we have had to put up with.  She wasn't too sympathetic to us QA team members--well...well...call it karma shit. just glad my name was not on that list.  I report to who was her supervisor now.  wow.  3 people got demoted it would seem to include my immediate boss, or should I say ex boss...and 6 people got totally whacked.  shit.

Milk Is Not Milk Anymore...

I don't know about ya'll but all my life ... milk is milk and its white, and I love a good cold glass of milk, and with my cereal or oatmeal.  However, when milk is NOT white, and is a dirty tannish-brown color ... it kinda turned me off...

which is what I saw when pouring it into my cereal bowl! ick!

In my search for better and healthy alternatives I decided to give "Silk" Almond & Coconut milk a try.

my sin...LOL...staying up past my curfew!

Funny I didn’t sleep worth a damn all night. I guess that was my just punishment … which made for a long Monday ... not to mention a less than my usual production excellence.  Rolled around till the alarm clock went off.  I like to sleep on my stomach or on my left side, but my left arm is still out of whack, going to PT 2x a week, hopefully get it straightened up but somehow I doubt its gonna help much.  PT says its an impingement.  gr8.  Going tomorrow at 5:30.

Today I received news...

that my 2-1/2 year old grandson is deaf with limited hearing only in the right ear (100% deaf in the left ear) which daughter was told is equivalent to plugging up your own ears and then talking...he hears muffled speech...I don't know all the details ... we are just all trying to deal with the news.  I had suggested she seek advice because his speech was delayed and/or not understandable and with a sister nearly 4 and talking all the time, he should have picked up speech easily.  I suspected he needed speech therapy but come to find out he is deaf, which explains the speech issue.  She also told me that he also has staring spells, some type of seizures, and was seen in the ER a couple of times for them.  They are not treating him for seizures right now since he is so young.  I am trying to process the news, as we are all, and will begin to research after I get all the facts from daughter.  I told her not to worry, that we will deal with this as a family, and do what needs to be done.  Connor is such a sweet kid, always was quiet but all boy...rambunctious, has way too much energy! He is only still when he is sleeping... I call him 'my little buddy' ... at this age he has been reading lips more than likely.  Going to see a neuro-otologist to see if any hearing aid or cochlear implant may be on help in that one ear Oct 5th.  Whatever it takes for him to flourish, we will conquer it with him!

Monday, Monday...

Yesterday I binge-watched Neflix nearly all day...nothing else to do, it rained steadily all day. Monday comes and there is no work and so I sit here pondering life and all its crapshit.  I am tired of being by myself.  However, while I would love to have a significant other in my life, I have found that in personal relationships expectations are the death of happiness. It gets complicated, one or the other get disappointed, hurt, frustrated...so they just give up instead of fighting for the very thing they wanted most ... to truly feel loved by someone. I haven't felt that since ...
